Fall 2004/2005 Couture*

merged, thanks for providing the link atelier

to be honest, the way the Vogue.com approaches this is quite strange,
Yohji, never did 'couture' he just shown his pap during the couture week,
but its too much stress and maybe less boutique clients in Paris
than during the pap week.

i think he did the right thing.. i bet it might have costed him some :ninja:

Yohji is a smart man. He's obviously putting the work first over the spectacle. This puts forth so much more focus towards the buyers & clients who normally flock to Paris during P-A-P and not HC week. Even though,I'm sure he still presents in showroom during that week. I think he's made his point very clearly by showing at HC week....now its time to move on.

I can't wait for Anne-Valérie though!!!

Exactly. That's what I like about him in this move.

I fidn this odd how they say he is "eaving couture' or "giving up couture" he never did couture!

i think its a smart move

i think it can onyl affect his work possitivly, to give him mroe time, let mor ebuyers see it, etc.

YES! Just around the corner. Thanks for posting, Lena.

Even though we've talked about this, it's so shocking to see that list dwindling and now, even the days! If it wasn't for Ralph Rucci, we would be down to only three days. That just isn't sinking in my brain.

Dang! All the people I could've run into at the lobby of the hotel for the Rucci show if I went there in July vs August.

so....no IOC??
there are so many designers showing off schedule, so.. we never know :P

i'd SO love to be at the Rucci collection punkie

But the time in China is different from PARIS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

 time difference  awwwwwwwwwww!!!!!!!!!!!

Now Ungaro and Versace are gone! Is haute couture really dying? Not many shows scheduled in four days! ( but major players like CD, Chanel, Gaultier are still here and that's what matters)

As long as Christian Dior and Jean-Paul Gautier are on that list, I'm happy

ditto :buzz:

Why isn't Ungaro showing?? Did he retire at last???

Couldn't care less for Atelier Versace, I think that show is an insult to the real couturiers.
