ARGH! I just wrote a
really long post and the computer ate it because tfs logged me out.
The gist of it was this:
purple, I am now convinced that we are actually long-lost sisters. I was seriously in shock when I saw this thread because it's just so...me!
I make accessories out of random things all the time and I love them. I actually almost made a tie skirt before I saw it in a store or picture, but I didn't have enough (nice) ties. Mine would have been cooler than this one, though.
I like the idea better than this example. I also made a change purse made of a baby shoe.

I saw the coolest boot purses by some designer last fall, but I've no idea where to find a picture. They were truly awesome.
My favorite things posted so far: the leveler earrings, the brief cases, the paper dresses, the face shirt, and the recycled juice box purses (where did you find those, purple?)
AYLI, I used to make earrings out of those plastic-covered paperclips all the time when I was little! Not the way you used them though. I like your idea. I used them as hooks, put on beads, and give them to my mom and her friends as earrings. They were actually kind of cool-looking, but not practical. I used to wonder why so few of the people I gave them to would actually wear them...
I was obsessed with earrings because I didn't have pierced ears.
