Favorite Christmas Movie

^ paz2992, I agree with your list. I love Christmas with the Kranks.

Add to my list:

The Family Stone

^ Totally agree with all of the above - my only addition is Meet Me in St Louis. I luv that movie.

Here in the US, TBS has had "24 Hours Of A Christmas Story" for years now. I think they need to update this, and change it to "24 Hours Of Love Actually" instead.

Almost too many memories to choose just one favourite:

The Santa Claus (1994)
How the Grinch Stole Christmas (2000)
Home Alone 1&2 (1990 & 1992)
Jingle All the Way (1996)
The Holiday (2006)

Metropolitan (1990) Not only my favourite Christmas movie, but one of my favourites, period. I love watching this in December.

Christmas In Connecticut (1945) So good. I loved it so much I even watched the made for tv remake which was a complete disaster, stick to the original.

Rudolph (1964) My favourite Christmas film as a child, even though I was terrified of the abominable snowman haha

The Santa Clause (A christmas eve bedtime tradition, regardless of my age)
Home Alone 1 & 2
Mickey's Once Upon A Christmas
Love Actually
Elf
Christmas With The Kranks
The Holiday
The Family Stone
Miracle On 34th Street

I do also love watching ToyStory, if that could be categorized as a Christmas movie, part of it is about Christmas 'Mrs Potatohead, Mrs Potatohead....'

The Family Stone
Home Alone
National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation
It's A Wonderful Life
The Santa Clause
Love Actually
Coming to America :)
And I always end up watching ABC Family's countdown to Christmas movies. I love it when they show all the Harry Potters.

A Christmas Carol - with Alistair Sim - HANDS DOWN THE BEST!! :santa:

I also love How the Grinch Stole Christmas (though it's not a movie) and the original version of Miracle on 34th Street.

White Christmas and It's a Wonderful Life are always lovely too.

If Fanny and Alexander counts as a Christmas movie, then I'm adding that to my list. I haven't seen the even longer version though.

Agree - love this film - but never thought of it as a Christmas movie. So good though!!!

I grew up watching The Wizard of Oz and The Sound of Music at Christmas, so I associate them with the holidays even thought they aren't really Christmas movies either.

christmas vacation was on last night.....and i have to say i never really got into it before but i watched the whole thing and it was hilarious.

and i know it sounds really cheesy to say i find those rankin bass productions really put me in the holiday spirit.

i watched today in the morning Elf, it was just on tv, it made me so happy and in the afternoon Christmas with the Kranks was on too, but it was ending... all i want right now is to finish with uni so i can lock myself inside my house, make me some cocoa and watch all of my favourite christmas movies! (with AC because it's getting pretty hot down here:lol: )

Love Actually (Number 1 always)
The Family Stone
Home Alone 1 & 2
Anastasia (I'm 22 and "Once Upon a December" is still my jam)
Doubt (I know it's weird--pretty dark themes--but it's set around Advent/Christmas and I'm Catholic so at times it becomes somewhat nostalgic)
Harry Potter 1 - 8
How the Grinch Stole Christmas (original cartoon)
The Polar Express <3
Meet Me in St. Louis (It ain't Christmas Eve til Judy Garland sings "Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas")
A Christmas Story (yes, I watch this at least three of the eighty times they play it on TBS)

Not really a Christmas movie, but I don't know why, the whole Harry Potter Saga feels like Christmas to me, and winter nights with tea in front of a fire haha
