Favorite Fireworks

This was one of my favorite past times when I was young, saving enough money to buy fireworks for the fourth of July. My favorites were, bottle rockets, sparklers, snakes, roman candles and poppers. I never got hurt using them. Just luck I guess, and now so many are banned. Do you still shoot off fireworks and what's your favorite?

actually my favorite ones are the large scale ones that go high into the sky as a tiny speck and then explode into the white flames like a vine of jasmine flowers or something and then they sparkle a sort of rust color and fade away, but you can see like their skeleton when they do.

they've always reminded me of toast, burnt toast, just the process of making toast i guess.

they're my favorite.

love fireworks!!!!! Something about it just takes you back to being a little kid again. I love them all. These days we can't shoot them ourselves so we get friends, pile in my convertible and go see a big display put on by a college here.

After reading 'The Lovely Bones' I now kinda hope that when we die, if there is such a thing as Nirvana, Heaven etc, that all our family and friends that are there already will see beautiful fireworks in the sky to herald your arrival.

Basically I love HUGE fireworks displays and Asia has some fabulous ones The Chinese and their gunpwder tricks.

oh! I almost forgot how great big fireworks displays over water are! Everyone used to take boats out on the lake for a huge show over the water every summer. So fun.

lol.. I don't think I could ever shoot fireworks! sh*t I couldn't even light a match til I started smoking and didn't have a choice sometimes when there wasn't a lighter around.. a little scared of burning myself, I think.

I love big fireworks and one lucky thing was I lived in Philippines when I was little and no fireworks are banned...my dad knew I loved em and usually we got whistling rockets and door spinners lil handheld sparklers and all that....my fave though was we actually got a hold of big rocket fireworks so our house always had a show going on during christmas....thats probably the best thing about my childhood...the holidays there were bananas...

I still love fireworks...I think I'm a lil pyro.

I love the white glittering ones...that explode (duh) and then fall down like a rain...pretty!
