^ i loved Henry's celebration. He was so composed when scoring but went berserk :woot: :woot: :woot: just shows how much he loves the club. he kept hitting the club crest (in a good way of course)!! Hope we win the CL and he gets what he deserves.

 Henry would be massacred if he hit the club crest in any other way! I"m so restless now I cannot sit still waiting for the outcome of the return leg.

Although I'm not strictly a Arsenal fan, I will still be cheering them on tonight

Come on you Gunners!!! :bounce: :D

Tonight I think Arsenal will win with 2-1. Tomorrow Milan will defeat Barcelona in a very tough and close fight.

:buzz: ARSENAL ARE IN THE FINAL!

And what a bad game it was.. :innocent: But who cares! I nearly died when Villareal got the penalty, my behavior really scared everyone here.. :D

I'm going to marry Jens Lehmann!

Zidane reveals retirement plans

Tuesday, 25 April 2006e-mailPrint
Real Madrid CF and France midfielder Zinédine Zidane has announced that he will retire from football after this summer's FIFA World Cup finals.
Decision explained
The 33-year-old explained his decision in an interview with French television station Canal+. "I will stop playing after the World Cup," he said. "I have to listen to my body and I cannot carry on for another year. I know that may sound strange two weeks before the league ends and 50 days before the World Cup, but I cannot imagine coming back to Madrid and saying 'that's it, you need to find a new player'." He added that Madrid's lack of success in recent seasons had been a factor in his decision: "It has been two seasons without meeting our goals and it is hard to restart from zero for another year".
Definitive decision
Zidane returned to action with Les Bleus in August 2005 a year after quitting international football, but this time, he said, there was no chance of a change of heart. "I needed to make it public in order to completely focus on the World Cup with France. It will be my last challenge and I did not want it to be polluted by questions on my future. This time I can say it is definitive, I'll stop playing as a professional. Maybe later I'll play as an amateur. But my career is over."
Europe's finest
Zidane was voted the best European player of the previous 50 years in the UEFA Golden Jubilee Poll of 2004. He has been selected as FIFA World Player of the Year on three occasions and won the Ballon D'Or as European Footballer of the Year in 1998. That year he starred as France lifted the World Cup, scoring twice in the final victory against Brazil in Paris. He also won UEFA EURO 2000™ with France and struck a stunning decisive goal as Madrid defeated Bayer 04 Leverkusen in the 2002 UEFA Champions League final. In addition he claimed two Italian titles with Juventus and one Spanish championship as well as the UEFA Super Cup in 1996.

españa, tía! :p

well...spain...mexico, argentina, colombia, whoever speaks spanish and is most likely to lose and be humiliated at the finals, and that doesnt include the US team, who kicked us out of the last world cup and therefore, have been victims of my profound chauvinistic resentment ever since -_- .

note: i'm only disgustingly patriotic when it comes to football. and someone said: patriotism is the last refugee of the soundrel. i'm off-topic now. :p

^i am too don't worry

excuse my bad memory, who did the us kick out?
(and lol at the tia comment:lol: )

i dont follow spain to tell you the truth  , i was referring to mexico...who, as we all know, are often kicked in the *** by those from above. which i couldn't care less...unless...it's football we're talking about. :boxer:

i knew you didn't follow spain once i read the US kicked us out comment because i still remember it was korea who got spain out
everyone is going to be so :boxer: in this thread in june.. :p

don't we all have a little enemy? :p

let's pray they dont shut this thread down as the championship unfolds. and let's pray i can keep myself together. :boxer:

I'm almost beyond consolation ... Milan  :cry: especially because Sheva's goal was disallowed to a ref error. But it was a close fight and a good game. Barca had so many chances which they just failed to convert especially Eto'o and Deco. But if Kaka's first shot on goal had gone in ... Sigh...no point on dwelling on the "But ifs..." Congrats to Barca, worthy opponents, and the supporters.

BUT .... Arsenal will kick *** at the finals!

MulletProof, yep...we're all residing here in June. :woot: Have you guys got your WC score charts all ready? I've got the one on my pc already and waiting for the wall charts to start coming out. My walls are going to be plastered with 'em. B)
