Agreed. I didn't like the movie Network that much, but I loved Faye's 70s wardrobe.

I have Bonnie and Clyde and will be watching it tonight. I just love Faye. I'm reading her biography now. This is what she had to say about the above scene.

"In a scene just before the final shoot-out, Clyde and Bonnie are coming back from the store and Warren wanted them to be eating peaches. There was a very specific dramatic reason for it. Early in the movie Clyde says to Buck, 'Gee, what do you think of her?' Here's this impotent guy with a great-looking woman. Buck looks out again at her and says, teasing, 'She's a peach.' It was that male camaraderie thing, assuming that Clyde is the great big old stud. And of course he's not. Later the script has Bonnie eating a peach moments before she's gunned to death. Just before she reaches for that peach, she's playing with these little figurines that are so perfect they have their own little fingernails, and she really loves that. Here's this little southern girl, and you really see it there. Then she starts to eat the peach and what happens? She gets mowed down by all these people." Since the season wasn't right for peaches, pears were used instead, to the chagrin of Faye and Warren.
