Most of it is pretty :ninja: but I do love the headdresses at Pollini.

None of them have anything on Anna Molinari's feather dresses from SS06 ..

That's true, those were gorgeus. I like how feathers were used at Pollini, the rest was kind of tacky. I expect great tackiness feather-wise when Cavalli shows :D

I've been seeing them on shows since last season. I find them impossible to wear, unless it's on a necklace or something really small. i think in real life they come off as quite ridiculous..or just reminiscent of a dead chicken. :ninja:

^ i thought that was leather fringe?
speaking of feathers and prada...i belive guccigal owns the peacock skirt, and she got a lot of wear out of it.

^I don't think so :) Only the tackier dresses...Cavalli  If you do it right, then it's great for evening (though, it requires a very special occasion  ). I remember when all the girls wore earrings with peacock feathers, that was so pretty

i love feathers but i agree moderation is key, i have twp pairs of beautiful feather earrings, one pair are big delicate gold hoops with white ostrich feathers suspended on chains dangling down the center and the other pair are simple black feather dangles, i want to make a feather chandelier for my bedroom too, roger vivier made a nice feathered pump and i love the headpieces but unsure about the dresses

hate feathers too much.. always had always will

especially now with bird flu, they seem grotesque to me
as for 'trend' i find them so very 'passe' like the echo of a past trend if you see my point..

Very cute and theatrical on stage, but other than as a hair accessory, I would vomit if I saw it on the streets.

Oh wow, poor Snejana. She already looks rather like a bird, so that was an unfortunate dress for her at D&G.

Next time I shoot a quail, I'll make someone a purse. Promise. I'll use the legs as clasps and the meat for meat.

But seriously, does all this shed? And how do you wash it? What the hell is it made of?

you dont wash, you dry clean if you dare wear more than once

and its 'done' from real feathers as in real birds

mulletproof, i'm afraid that Pastry is right darling..
those leather Prada fringe looks regardless how 'chicken' they look, they dont fit the feahers discussion :p

That's damn near repulsive. Ever pick up a shed feather as a child to have your mother scream at you and scrub your hands?

I have an obscene fear of Birds. I move out of their way when I see them around! I feel good looking at those terrifying birds made into clothes! I love those Alessandro Dell'Acqua items above. (:
