I haven't found anything here in years..... , try and wait till the last week if you can...when it first starts the markdowns are no better than than they were at the Mad Ave flagship...and they tend to bring out crappy stuff that didn't sell at previous warehouse sales......go for the fun of it, but know your pricepoints and if you are really getting a bargain.......I doubt anything will be 80% off on day 1 (and there will be a long line).

Did you guys go to the If sale? I'm gonna pop in tomorrow but just wanted to get some word ahead of time. I always go to those basement sales they have and am never disappointed. How is it this year?

i didn't see anything left that i was interested in when i was there a couple weeks ago...some comme...but largely unwearable stuff..no branquinho ...just a couple of pieces...

Well this is a 'basement' sale, so they don't usually have stock from the latest season (i.e. fall 2004). What they do is drag out their old stock from spring 2004 and back and sell it at drastically reduced prices. You can find Comme and Dries stuff from even 5 years ago which is really incredible. I'll check it out today and report back.

Are you going?

I didn't go yet, MoM, but I might go either today, or this weekend, depending on whether Mrs. Faust wants to go. We've gotten some great things for her, nothing for me.

How was the sale selection? Did you get anything?

It was Ok, simply because I'd buy just about anything in that store, that's how similar our tastes are. I got a dark olive cotton top by Carol Christian Poell, convertible from turtleneck to mock-neck, it's pretty funky.
