Fendi S/S 2023 Milan

He loves to shoot himself in the foot working with satiny materials (so that every poorly finished stitch is apparent to the world).

As usual: No ideas, no relevant contribution to this brand or to the current fashion landscape and no possible explanation to why a brand with the resources of Fendi has to put not one but TWO hideous shows in less than a month. Bad for the environment and bad for my eyes.

The hair and makeup gives the impression that some of the models just crawled out of a well and into the runway.

The irony is that they invest so much in Marketing since Kim is at the helm…Almost like they know he couldn’t hold it on his own.

The success and the rise of Fendi particularly in the past 15 years has only been due to Karl’s and Silvia collections. For years they didn’t relied on logos, no brand ambassador, no major beauty success, everything was almost done in a artisanal way for a brand that made over 1billion.

I wouldn’t mind hating Kim’s stuff if he tried. Riccardo at Burberry is lackluster but at least, there are some efforts. Kim’s work screams laziness and commercialism. I’m failing to see a vision here, an idea of a woman, a point of view.

I hate Marni by Russo but there’s a point of view…Here? Just a pile of stuff for Sales Associates to send it to you after the show…

I can only say one thing... That really scared me... The buckles on the cargo!!! Whyyyy????
Its been awful since Karl... Actually i remember silvia and the team had one collection un between (after Karls death) that it was great.
This is nonsense... Just the hair, the shoes and those buckles made me cringe real bad.

They did three: SS'20, FW'20 and SS'21. The latter two were better received.

This looks exactly like Alexander Wang’s last collection for Balenciaga. His was better, albeit terrible.

Terrible..
Since that supreme collection has hasn’t done anything except buy houses and renovate them..

Too many repetitive pieces, it brought nothing new to the table.

Silvia's S/S 2021 collection in particular one was perhaps the last fashion outing that really left an imprint on me. It was so beautiful, creative and alluring. Such a tragedy that some Hypebeast got handed the keys to the house and simply ruined this brand with his emperor's new clothes approach. No words for this collection but the push to make the ambience of this show feel oh so elegant and chic is beyond laughable.

everything looks grey and pasty. the clothes, the models, the audience.
but for me the worse is the execution of the pieces. unforgivable.
