Fendi Spy Bag

Question for you ladies: I've heard of the colour ruboff problem with the cognac spies - but have you had any problems with any of your spys FADING in colour - ie getting lighter in overall colour (bec. of the sun)?

I live in blazing sunny California, and don't want my spy fading!

Yeah, it probably is a good thing. ;) By the way, I found this on eBay last night...I think positano mentioned this bag a few postings ago.

I just saw this bag on a boutique near my home.
The material is as oilskin and, personal opinion, dont like it!!:yuk:

dulcisima...thanks for sharing your experience with the shipping package. Am surprised with DHL's "professionalism" or lack thereof... :)

Edna...CONGRATULATIONS! So happy for you! Gorgeous gorgeous twins you have there! Excellent choices too. A darker and lighter Spy each which can be used all year round! Love the Honey! The texture is superb! Definately a much more fabulous bag IRL! Now I'm craving me some Honey...hmmmm....:)

any news on the wisteria spy? did anyone get theirs or is waitlisted for one?

Oh btw...an update on my Fortuny/Hologram Spy which I purchased from Fendi London (Sloane St.) via the telephone about 2 weeks ago. I confirmed the purchase on a Thursday/Friday. The bag arrived in London, from the Italy warehouse (according to SA) on the following Monday. On the same Monday, the bag was shipped off to Singapore via courier! Arrived in S'pore a week later i.e. yesterday. Have yet to see the bag but my friend informed that it is in order and appears faultless!!! I'm so excited!

For those who purchased a Spy over the phone or via the web, how was the Spy delivered i.e. packaging? S'porean friend informed that Spy was not in original Fendi box nor was there any stuffing on the bag. Perhaps this is to reduce the weight. Is this a regular practise?

Congrats on your bag! I hope you get to use it soon!

Anyways, do you know if they are selling the plain leather ones at the sloane street store? Do you have their telephone number? I'd like to give them a try to see what colours they have...

Thank you everyone for your kind comments on my Spy! ^_^

Dulcisima - I don't think I took notice if the handles were crossed. I was so excited, I just dumped everything out on my bed!

Guessgirl - I can't wait for the F/W speculation as well! I really want another. When does F/W speculation and information usually start getting leaked?

jbelle - Congrats on your Honey Spy! :)

Haha. I live mostly in Singapore as its freaking hot and humid all year round.I 've had no problems with my cognac Spy but I've only used it twice so far.;)

teiko, I noticed that my petrol spy is significantly larger than my sequinned spy. I seem to recall another tfs'er reporting visible size differences. I guess they are not so precise when they are making the bags by hand?

edna, all 3 of my dustbags have been large (i.e., no problem getting the spys in or out).

New to the fendi spy but it's growing on me :) Are there ANY on ebay that aren't fake? So hard to tell since I don't know much about this style. Thanks!

Greendrv your petrol sounds heavenly. I adore that color! Is that the shade that Nicole Richie has?

Neiman Marcus has new spys on their website.

In reference to Style Drops, I posted that question last week. It appears that they are authentic.

PJ, karma for the notice on the new spys. NM has the silver/gold and honey (which they are calling camel) available.

Thanks Greendrv. The website links provide great, useful information.

I love the gold/silver spy!!!

the gold/silver spy is so beautiful so so beautiful.

I was in Fendi yesterday and a women came in with the cognac spy and it was peeling. The manager told her the cognac is treated and it will wear and peel and that is part of the aging process? Sounds odd to me
