I just got bazaar maagzine and theres a really pretty new spy I've never seen before. It's white canvas with emboirderey on the 2 strips where the stishing is on the spy. very pretty

How do you guys organise things when you carry your Spys? Do you just throw everything in there? I'm not used to bags without compartments for this and that (I'm terrified of putting anything in the flap compartment since I saw my mom's Spy open by itself, and I donno what to put in the little hidden compartment, except from maybe some cash just in case)
I carry a make up pouch where I have my keys and other random stuff, and a wallet, but for some reason I can still never find anything


It's a pretty impractical bag, but I still love it. Funny, isn't it?

Keya, I usually just throw my stuff in and just search for it when I need it.

However, after getting my YSL muse bags..I started compartmentalizing things. I put my lipsticks in a pouch, medication, etc etc so it makes it easier.

When I go back to carrying my spy I plan on doing that as well.

I have gotten in the habit of chaning my purses every day or other day - so I too have compartmentalized everthing. I have a large balenciaga zip wallet that all my cards, receipts, cash go, the a small zipper bag for lipstick, eyeglass wipe, bc powder. then another one for things that I put in the zipper compartments like nail file, flash drive, camera card and reader. then a small credit card wallet for voter registration, insurance, etc.

My other purses have slots for cell - but its all pretty organized and easy to change.

I spend a long weekend in NY (I'm in FL) this past weekend and spotted several paddys, a few balenciagas and just one spy - a black one and I must say it was on the most elegant business lady of them all. It didn't look like whe had much in it so it was very skinny - very cool. She was dressed in a long black fitted coat, black boots, black spy.

i think people with cognac spies prone to peeling should maybe not condition them at all, and try to use the heck out of them so the whole bag (not just the spot) will really age alot-- maybe even store them near a sunny window?

the other day i saw one that must have been used every day for a few seasons, i was surprised-- it looked sooooo cool b/c almost all of it was so faded. almost like an old saddle.

I was at NM a few weeks ago and saw another lady carrying the cognac and her bag looked exactly how you described - all faded. I didn't like the faded look, but I think it was more because of the lady carrying it, not the bag itself.

When are they supposed to be in? Maybe don't carry the black until you see the white?

Remember white is good in winter now...winter white. Alot of designers started that...

Posi - I agree w/ guccigal to wait on using the black until the white shows up. It shouldn't be too long before NM gets it (I hope) since stores are starting to get the bags now. You are probably on top of the list for the white so you'd get the 1st shipment. You could get both black patent and white too if $ is no ojbect.

I also compartmentalize everything too - makeup bag, another baggie for random things (pen, tissue, keys, gum, etc). The spy compartment is reserved for my cell phone and Nano.

For anyone who has the spy hobo, did it come with the zipper pull attached? I just got mine today and the zipper pull was just placed in the box...cant find the piece to attach it It looks weird without it on I'll probably just have to have it replaced, but I thought maybe someone else might have encountered this.

Noriko - I have the petrol hobo and the zipper pull should be attached. Can you find the little screw that is suppose to be attached to it?

Btw, did you purchase this from the Fendi boutique or NM/Saks/BG? If so, return it and get a new one.

As far as compartmentalizaton goes, it's the one thing I find frustrating about the Spy -- lack of inside pockets! I always keep my cell phone in the spy compartment, too.

And I've found that it helps me find my keys if I drop them in the same side of the bag each time. Simple, but it works!

I found a couple more Spies to add to the list, although I have no idea what the names of them are, or when they were available. I found the pics on Italian and Japanese sites, respectively. I can't vouch for them, but they certainly LOOK authentic. (see pics below)

Lastly, when I mentioned the Silver/Lavender Hologram a few posts back, I meant that it was my DREAM bag, should Fendi be reading this . It does not yet exist, as far as I know. If anyone ever sees one, YELL!

thanks for the post spycrazy! although i am not crazy about the designs of the spys in your post, i can see them being liked by the japanese and italians - their clothing is very colorful/playful in general.

spycrazy -- Thanks for the pics They're intresting, but I dont like the lack of texture. If the first one was emboirdered it would be much better I think. But nothing beats the couture spy UNiQ has *drool*

I'll add the pics to the list. I have the pictures of everything except for a few spies like the pink and blue croc, and the half zucca half leather spies. Do those even excist? I've only seen fakes. Thanks for letting me know about the lavender/silver hologram!

The screw wasn't in there I'll be sending it back and hopefully getting another this week If not, I have a dark brown regular spy bag on its way. I hope I end up with both styles I was just so disappointed that I can't use the bag tomorrow!
