Fendi Spy Bag

yeah thats what i was thinking too. i'm reconsidering my purchase now because even though i love them, i would rather spend my money on a newer "it" bag. any ideas on the next big trend?

buy what you love. A chocolate brown, petrol cognac or honey fendi spy are great! the muse bag is great! but the spy is a BEAUTIFUL bag

did you ever get the spy issue resolved? I was going to say that the price tag can not be real because the black/white spy is from last year and it sold for $1980. Someone can correct me if I am wrong. I would leave neutral feedback at best - if he slams you, you can reply.

hey girls- another question!

for the old seuqin spys, are the sequins the same on each bag or different?

As an owner of a sequin spy. I think that all of them are the same re: positioning of the sequins on the bag. Also, they are fragile, but I have beaten the heck out of mine (because I refuse to spend money and love a bag and NOT use it) and I think I am only missing on sequin and only I would ever notice it.

I am sorry to hear about your experience. I was going to buy a petrol spy from Blackavus777 especially since he lives in my area and I was going to go look at it and buy it in person but he was charging a premium over the actual sales price which I was not willing to pay. I have one on the way from another seller at slightly below retail which to me is the whole point of buying on ebay. Ebay/paypal's process is not very helpful with regard to an item not being what you thought it was...mainly only if you never received the item. In the experiences I have had with an imperfect item I only found relief through Visa and the second time through negotiating with the seller for a partial refund due to the imperfection. I got a $100 off a Chanel wallet once this way because the seller was interested in maintaining good feedback especially since they sold designer items and people are very precautious about past feedback. First I would try to appeal to him about the fact that regardless of photos this is something he should have mentioned in the actual ad as an imperfection. What he has at stake is bad ebay feedback which will hurt future sales and in addition you can mention impact of a negative resolution as discussed on this board from which many bag enthusiasts browse his bags for potential purchase and where bad seller experiences lead to a "blacklist" per se....not only here but also on purseblog. Ebay listings stay up for about 90 days...your listing was older than that and you are just getting the bag?

I was also going to buy that bag, but was not interested in paying so much more, and it didn't seem like anyone else was either, I was also somewhat suspicious because he had already sold a petrol spy, using the same pictures, and the buyer had not left any feedback, so I figured there must be something wrong with the bag. I wrote to him and he said that he had sold another one, and I would get the bag in the picture, but how could I get the one in the picture if he apparently used the same pic for his other auction? Someone did not get the bag in the picture. Ebay is a scary place, particularly to buy something for $2500. Thats why I just sucked it up and got a petrol hobo, and I am profoundly happy with it, and some day I'll get another bag I will love as much as I would have loved the petrol spy...

yes, that one is a terrible fake, take a look around ebay, get to know what the leather should look like.

There are soe real ones there, but take a look at the price.

I got my spy on ebay for $1600...it's real. I took it to the Fendi store for confirmation. I love the bag!! You can get real ones on ebay but not for less than $1200.00 in my opinion. Check out 6874232090. Looks real to me! Price is steep, you can get it at Saks.com for $2075. Perhaps if you mention that they will lower the price...
By the way, the leather on the real ones is not smooth and shiny like fake ones out there (besides other differences). The real ones have a texture to them, and it should show in pics. I will try and post pics of my bag.
Also, for those in NYC dutyfreeapparel has real spy bags. When you go on the website (dutyfreeapparel.com) the pictures they are using are fake-but in the store they are real! Don't ask me where they get those awful pictures from  . They have the honey spy bag for $1675.00. The store was advertised in NY Magazine as well, and they were on Oprah.
Maybe they can send by mail??? You can't order from website.

something fishy about the above price you said you got it for 1600 then you post a completely different priced auction....for 2139...hmm...and I never understand why a bag that is NEW with tags...doesn't just get returned to saks...or neimans, etc since they have the most flexible return policy...why sell and loose money if its new?

I think sometimes it's employees using their discounts. You can make a killing on Ebay with Saks or Neiman discounts. Also I think some of these just go out the back door of the stores and can't be returned.

If anyone interested in the following spy bags pm to give u contacts of the store ( no waiting list) Gold spy, stripped denim spy, wisteria honey, wisteria white, white plain spy and honey plain spy..

Thanks, Jacobsgirl! I bought it from Bloomie's on 59th & Lex. What I also love about my Spy is that it weighs nothing, esp. compared to all the heavy weight It bags out there now.

I was only mentioning the one for 2139 because some people believe you can't get a real spy on ebay, but there are a few out there (although I think 2139 for a black spy is overpriced). I did indeed get my spy for $1600. Keep in mind that some dept. stores will either not take back items (or have a time limit) that are from leased areas like Gucci or Fendi. If that was the case, everyone would be returning bags once they went out of style! Also, like someone else said, they use their discount, or unfortunately have sticky fingers! Anyway, I got a real one and I am happy about the price I paid. My advice: be careful on ebay and make sure your pay through paypal and that the seller has a retutn policy so you have time to bring it to the actual store for authenticity confirmation.

well 2139 is not too high since the retail is 2080 plus tax...and that person will be loosing money.

but anyway...I saw that weird spy with the flowers on it....its made of the worst fabric...its like what a raincoat is made of....like a twist between that and patent.

this one 6868878626 its so ew....feels so cheapy

Guccigal - are you talking about the weird Spy with the circular flower pattern all over? It's supposed to be a coated lace material, but if you don't pull out a magnifier it does look like raincoat material. Ew, indeed.

yeah that one....there is nothing lace about that! its just ew ew ew ewy as my nephew says!

^ I thought the same thing! I dont understand the print either. Flowers inside circles? I have no idea where they got that and it looks awful.

when I look at the bag I don't freak out like I do the FFFF ones....that one is just bad its not ugly but not awesome but up close EWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW

I received my silver/gold spy from Neiman Marcus today. It is absolutely beautiful!!! I love it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
