Fendi Spy Bag

I'd be interested in what Greendrv thinks too... don't take my word on this alone, but they all look legitimate, though I don't know any of the sellers. But why buy for almost $2000 on ebay when Saks.com has them for $2,075.00 & you can return it if you don't like the color or change you mind? ;) They often have free shipping with SHOPJULY (don't know if it's on this month but check the website or try using it before you purchase). Only 300008694840 has a used one much cheaper & it looks real to me. You might write & ask her if the clasp still is tight as they can have that problem. You are at risk with a big purchase like a Spy unless someone here knows the seller... it's a lot of money to take a chance with.
BTW... NeimanMarcus.com has the beautiful white lambskin Spy on for sale again.

Hi Pinkie,
thanks for your response.
I certainly do see the risk I am getting here abt buying a spy bag in ebay...
But I reside in Spore & most US online stores dont ship internationally so ebay was my next better bet...
I do not mind a second hand (like #300008694840 as I do like this color compared to the other 2) - thanks for the tip, I shld double check with seller re. the cond. :D

I rely on TFS alot & this forum has provided me alot of valuable info/tips esp. when it is not easy to view the actual bag in my local fendi stores...

I am really hoping for more feedback re. my query - as I am still quite confused abt the color tones as I see many tones in honey spy pictures.
Maybe if someone can clarify my doubt - as I have read that color tones do vary for other leather colors eg: petrol, cognac, green etc... (just not sure abt honey color).

TIA! :flower:

^^ bbbochap... I don't believe the color differs all that much on the honey Spys. The texture & turtling of the leather can be quite different but I think the variation in color has more to do with the lighting when photographed & your particular screen than the Spy. I have a honey and the others I have seen at shops are much the same shade, not nearly as orange as a whiskey Paddington or the photo on Saks page, but a lovely (to me) tanish shade.. not beige.

I hope someone else chimes in on the ebay #'s so I won't feel guilty about mis-advising you on the Spys listed,

I believe petrol is the only blue color ever produced for the Spy.

Some Spy copies were made in a more navy/royal blue shade but I think Fendi only made the Spy in a petrol blue.

I'm sorry to hear that, Grill. I never had this prob but I've heard of people using the Magic Eraser for such stains. It's dry so perhaps less damaging?

Totally off-topic, here I am with my new Silver spy out for a wedding dinner on Saturday. With my new MiuMiu dress.

rei that is my favorite color!!! i already have a cognac spy and cannot justify getting another bag in the same style, but every time i see this bag i get goose bumps- lucky you!

Try wearing it around the house and give it a chance, I thought the spy was too big when I just got it..

If you still dont love it, can you return it? Otherwise I'd just try ot ebay it.

Honey or Cognac?

I want to get another spy (I only have the black one.) Any advise on what to get for the fall? I am debating between the honey and the cognac although I see the honey at saks.com but where can I get the cognac? Are there other tones of brown other than the cognac?
Which one should I get?
Thanks :flower:

Has anyone been at the fendi store lately nyc? I don't think I would buy anything from e-bay...any suggestions? What is the diff between the cognac and the dark brown ? I know I am boring but I happen to like those colors!!!!

Yassira - I don't think you could go wrong with either color. Honey is a great neutral to go with everything. If you want something flashier, you might wanna consider the bronze. I was at Fendi in NY last week and saw a petrol Spy, which is a really hard to find color that's fabulous. You should go check it out if it's still there ...

Thanks Tiger! I don't think I can go with the Petrol, although it is beautiful it's just not me.. it was a huge change for me to get a tan chloe bag !! (most of my bags are black black more black and brown)Perhaps I will try and get a bronze? I'll go by this weekend hopefully they will have it!!!

I prefer cognac. I think the Honey is nice, but since you live in NYC it might look too light for winter months. Dark brown is other standard "brown" shade, and it's kind of *blah* IMO.

Bronze would be your fourth option.

Cognac is my favorite.

I would skip ebay and buy from saks.com. SHOPJULY is actually a 10% off, and I think it is valid through the first week in August or something.
