Ferrari F/W 2024.25 Milan

Really interesting textiles in this, which is a surprise. There's also some silhouettes and pieces I kind enjoy. Particularly the asymmetry of the skirt hems. Gives a stronger sense of motion. The glass organza can rot in hell though. Cheap as hell looking fabric that will never look expensive.

Still, I don't get the point of this because it's Ferrari. Just there for the sake of being able to.

I don’t know why Elkann is throwing money like that for a project nobody cares about. I have seen the new Ferrari, it’s a beautiful car and for once, 4 people can actually seat in the car!
That’s the Ferrari we care about.

Now, if he wants to make a splash in the fashion industry, Alexandre Vauthier is for sale!
I’m sure they have spend more money for this vanity project than what Vauthier might actually cost!

i had a glance and the (mis) construction on those shiny pieces are all i saw.

Holy sh*t. From a purely product perspective this is irresistable. Ferarri management is unmatched…. Wow

A lot of desirable italianisms. Those glossy sheer fabrics are the moment. Brilliantly plain while also having a good enough cut to wear with other labels. I have a glossy sheer top from TF gucci and 00 JPG. The tf one is plain and the JPG one has GAULTIER PARIS written on it in ribbon. I kinda wouldnt wear either of them now, partly because i think the fit is dated and last i remember the TF gucci was stiffening up. The JPG is like a blend and still feels the same but has always been delicate. I would get one of these Ferraris… i love layering sheer shirts.

They have a huge store in aventura so i might have to actually stop by this fall. Ferrari is the strongest brand in the world. their customers have the money for their clothes. its just Ferrari merch.

They put sand in the fuel tank...and the result is this.

Not my kinds of clothes but those are beautiful 😭

Does anyone actually wear that sh*t?
I suspect this is more of a giant ad, part of their marketing. They may sell some of the clothes but the biggest payout is merch which is not so far from the actual cars. That also includes accessories which would get more legitimacy from being shown at fashion week. I highly doubt that they dream of being the next big couturier. Someone will be proud to say that they are wearing Ferrari sunglasses than a Ferrari dress. Their marketing is massive because they have the budget for it and can afford the most luxurious fabrics and a good team to stay on par with their unreachable image.

The brand idea is “Italian Excellence that makes the world dream.” They clearly understand the brand’s role in tapping into the pride of Italians around the world. Most fans of Ferrari will never own a car. It will be a lifelong dream. Instead, these brand fans will buy tee shirts, hats, sunglasses, key chains and anything that projects their association with the brand. The branded merchandise accounts for $1.5 – $2 billion in sales each year. That’s a significant contribution to Ferrari’s $4 – $5 billion in revenue each year.

I'm still a little shocked that Ferrari the car/racing company is doing high fashion. It's cool, sleek, and glossy, but I'd rather spend my money elsewhere for similar designs.
