I'm a huge fan of the original 80's flick starring Kevin Bacon so I was a bit shocked when I herd they were remaking the film. I mean, how can you remake something which is already perfect? But the trailer for the reboot of Footloose came out today and I was wondering what everyone's opinion of it is?

i don't understand why anybody would remake a already cheesy terrible film? how can it possibly get any better.

^It's a terribly cheesy film but I think tons of 80's films were. That's what made them great. But I can't fathom why anyone would think... let's remake Footloose again... or any 80's film for the matter (I read that it's something like 20 remakes of films are in production right now). Can't people be original and write a new story?

There is no purpose to this whatsoever. Never mind a new story this doesn't even have a new script. And OMG Ariel is still wearing the same "Dance Your *** Off" T-shirt at the town council meeting I loved that T-shirt...it takes me back to school days and my first disco This is more than madness, it's blasphemy. I wonder what Kevin and Lori think about it

Awful! Footloose is such an 80s classic, don´t need to remake it.
Kevin Bacon and Lori Singer had crazy sex appeal, these kids have none imo... looking like Jennifer Aniston and Johnny Depp is not good enough LOL
The original´s music was also great, where´s the traktor scene?

Next thing we know they´ll remake Back To The Future and all hell will break loose
maybe you can tell I´m an 80s child?
