FRIDA GUSTAVSSON
the style talk
PONY RYDER: When you fly from one fashion capital to another during fashion weeks, do you travel light... What do you pack, what are your essentials?
FRIDA GUSTAVSSON: Oh I'm such an idiot when it comes to packing haha, I always overpack my bags and end up paying crazy money for all that overweight (even though I probably only wear a third of all the stuff I bring anyway)!!!
The top five things in my bag gotta be my MacBook, some cool heels (right now my fave is Balenciaga), a pair of jeans that fit well, a white shirt and a beautiful blazer and my Playstation 2 with gta and ssx 3 hahahaa!
PONY RYDER: And what is your favorite computer game?
FRIDA GUSTAVSSON: My absolute favorite game of all time is World of Warcraft, it's so crazy addictive!
PONY RYDER: Your style is amazing. You had a great opportunity to meet some of the greatest designers in the entire world. Who influenced you the most?
FRIDA GUSTAVSSON: Thanks! Yes, and that is something I'm forever grateful for, as a fashion student to be able to see and be a part of the work from such major design geniuses like Karl Lagerfeld, Raf Simons, Alexander McQueen, John Galliano Alber Elbaz and Stefano Pilati is a dream coming true. I really love Raf Simons - so sharp, chic, minimalistic and always are so exquisitely crafted creations.
PONY RYDER: What are your favorite destinations to shop?
FRIDA GUSTAVSSON: I love to go vintage shopping in the Marais district in Paris, I absolutely adore the people, the houses, the stores and the whole atmosphere is just beyond!
PONY RYDER: Whose shoes did you like the most during the shows (Spring/summer 2010)?
FRIDA GUSTAVSSON: For heals I love Balenciaga and when I feel like classics I go for Ferragamo or Chanel but ill always love my Doc Martens to death!! My favorite from this past season must be the boots from Phi or the very spectacular Alex McQueens!
PONY RYDER: What magazine do you buy every month?
FRIDA GUSTAVSSON: I usually buy Lula, Self Service, Dazed & Confused, Vogue Italia and W, those.
