"French Elle Taps Friquette Thévenet-Mondino"

French ELLE has tapped Friquette Thévenet-Mondino to oversee fashion, effective since Nov. 3, WWD has learned. The role was formerly held by Sophie Fontanel, who is becoming editorial writer.

Thévenet-Mondino, a stylist and wife of photographer Jean-Baptiste Mondino, has collaborated with publications such as Madame Figaro and Vanity Fair France and has spent a large part of her career at ELLE France.

The nomination at the weekly magazine comes a few after Françoise-Marie Santucci was named editor in chief.

Friquette not only has a knack for eliciting wardrobe envy but her stylistic collaborations capture a fresh vitality and and infectious energy not often seen in fashion editorials these days.
