This seems like a catwalk trend, lots of designers are choosing to put use fur as a detail, like the pockets, or on the sleeves

Fur coats can look good, but fur used like designers did in F/W is tacky and ugly. There were so many collections I would have loved, but the fur ruined everything. Fur on the skirts and sleeves...yuck.

burberry and missoni did this well in an understated way, but it's been used in a disappointingly tacky way by lots of other designers. it definitely does look like a trend, i noticed it myself, but let's hope it gains a little more class before hitting the mainstream.

I agree, lots of designers have made fur detailed coats, but almost all the results I have seen have been very odd and ugly looking

I like how Missoni used it, the colors really come together

Fur in general makes me SICK..... If anyone wants to try this HUGE trend, please, may it be FAUX fur....?

God the burberry ones are hideous, you can almost see them on an animal.

the fur used in the designs seem to me to be an afterthought- just slap it on wherever it can fit to increase the price and appeal to a certain customer...

^ Yes, lots of stuff does look a bit like that... Fur collars or fur linings/cuffs look cohesive, trims too sometimes. But random big pieces of fur? It really does look slapped on. Gimmicky almost.
