I swear to gosh I got the 10th shirt jacket in this collection from H&M trend last fall and the fabric is from an Italian mill. Almost identical.
It's whatever. Another round of inoffensive social media-friendly appropriately 'trendy' and 'comfortable to wear' blah blah blah.
She doing a better job at being a socialite than being a designer.
She's saving all "her" great ideas for her Chloé debut...right?
The knit "quilts" and the floral looks are atrocious.
This collection doesn't have an identity that would be strong enough. It literally feels like a rejected, more neutral Sies Marjan show. It's still nice and wearable, but in the sea of all the Nanushkas and Proenzas it doesn't stand out.
When it comes to her Chloé debut, well, there's an interview for WWD where Gabriela says that her namesake brand is like Athena and her Chloé is like Aphrodite. Whatever that means... But it's suspicious that she claims designing for Chloé is much easier.
Can designers stop casting bigger girls if they don’t even bother to put them in something flattering?
The knit fabrics are doing no favors here even on the sample size models.
I couldn't not post Cathy's scathing review of this show...
