I've loved Gael ever since I saw his film Amores Perros. I was like who is this beautiful man?! Later he began dating Natalie P. and I thought they made a gorgeous couple. It sucks that they've both moved on.

And he's definitely not mainstream. Most people (not including film buffs) still don't know who he is, and that probably suits him just fine.

Actor Gael Garcia Bernal to Be a Dad


Gael García Bernal – the Mexican actor who starred in Babel, Y tu Mamá También and Amores Perros – is expecting his first child.

He and girlfriend Dolores Fonzi, an actress from Argentina, confirmed the pregnancy Wednesday in a statement to the Associated press.

"This statement is to say that, after so much speculation and comments, the actors ... are indeed expecting a baby at the start of next year," Garcia Bernal's production company, Canana Films, said in a statement.

Bernal, 29, previously dated Natalie Portman. He and Fonzi costarred in 2001's Private Lives
