Gap Design Editions

Doo.Ri is going to be something remarkable... So much talent that has yet to be realized.

But the shirts, yes, the shirts are impressive. Can't wait to see these in person and hopefully purchase.

I can't seem to find a list of the specific stores where the collection will be available...

help???

i haven't either, but i imagine it's the flagship locations...
the larger square footage stores...

I wish they had them here in Seattle...I love the white shirtdress especially.

yeah,it says only 100 so i assume that means only the major flagships,in the major cities rather than one's mere mall shop.

of course..but i live in DC and i don't know where our flagship(s) are...we have a few big H&Ms but only 1 got the viktor & rolf collection...you see?

thanks anyway! :D

elschic, probably Tysons? That's the largest Gap in that area...or Pentagon City.

I wonder if it's limited to the US or if they are going to include the larger canadian Gap's as well. Either way I suppose I could go to Toronto or perhaps the one in Troy, MI will carry it.....these seem so much better than the collection from Roland Mouret....

They all look so lovely and I hope that they look just as nice in person.

definitely love what i see so far! a really good move for gap.

"Each designer created three unique interpretations of the classic white shirt, and they will be available exclusively in the U.S., Canada, U.K., Japan and online in the U.S. at gap.com. Items will range from $68 to $88." ...fashionwindows.com

Sweet! They really got great designers and the shirts look great. I actually like the Thakoon ones.

I knew Doo Ri and Thakoon would come out on top for me even before I saw the pix, both so talented, I'm glad they've received further opportunitues to branch out, esp. Thakoon.

Not a big fan of Doo.Ri, but I LOVE,LOVE,LOVE Thakoon and Rodarte.

Phillip Lim would have been perfect for this, as well.

out of all the collaborations, out of all the celeb lines, out of all that sort of stuff lately, I think this emerges as the most creative and concise project, imo.

No outrageously varied wardrobes, just a white shirt reinvented; how simple and idea, short and sweet. I'm really taken by the designs too! I actually think this design equilibrium is what should shape a new gap. Just take things to point zero, and then do some thinking.

I have seen nice efforts in their own line too, particularly the simple wardrobe of women's shirts, pants, and jackets they were pushing early this season. I hope the gap makes basics cool again.:P
