Halloween '08

Happy Halloween my dears – or if you prefer, Pagan Celebration of Changing Seasons. NYC is already full of pumpkin-brimming streets, falling leaves, blazing yellow in the sunlight through the blue sky of October. I am contemplating (if only I can find a wild rumpus to partake in) going as Max-in-a-wolf-suit for Halloween. Think about it: You’d be warm, somewhat disguised, able to climb any fences that posed a problem, and crunch as many sticks and evil pumpkins as you like!!! Gemma is going as a crazed Elvis fan – which is genius – because at the moment she IS a crazed Elvis fan, and all the while I am wondering where this year has gone. Is it really nearly November? Time doesn’t just fly when you’re having fun, I think it disintegrates! It becomes sub-existent to the existence of greatness, those big visceral paint strokes of life.

so she's in NYC, maybe some pictures will show up after halloween

Thanks Dona,
I have been a Gemma Fan forever although only just contributing to this thread now because I have only just gotten a TFS account recently.
I wish she was still modelling or at least doing something publicly once in a while.
Anyway, I think Gemma is the best model of my generation. Often models have an unbelievable beauty but don't have the best photos or take great eds. On the otherhand IMO models like Lily Cole and Raquel aren't amazing looking but have the most beautiful editorials you could ever see. Gemma was both. She had the look that changed the fashion world for a while, could take amazing editorials and still be so versatile and to add to that is just so beautiful and has a presence of 'light' in all of her work.
Not to sound like a stalker because really I don't care that much, but Sophie has a blog, I don't know if you have all seen it but here is the link:

Personally, her writing make me want to vomit in my mouth a little bit because its so whimsical, 'i'm artistic' and a bit too descriptive that makes it feel contrived  but I appreciate that she is a writer and not everyone likes the same cheeses.

Wow, I am the completely opposite - I saw Sophie's blog for the first time yesterday and though her writing was absolutely brilliant and very, very appealing. I love "artistic" and "whimsical" writing.

^ yeah, i agree with you. I think she is really talented. you feel like you are there with her, you completely understand what she says because it is so well written. she writes like an author who has been writing novels for years, and yet she is so young.

OMG! Can't wait to see her as Elvis :D Gemma loves halloween ;) I remember she dressed as an Indian Goddess one time..Gemma please come back, we miss you :D

gemma...where art thou?
This thread has become more of a speculation one without any new work from you :(
