Don't want to be a mood cracker but there is quite the possibility that Gemma will barely be featured in the trailer. I hope that will not happen though.

My guess is that Gemma will be featured in the trailer. Clearly the mermaids are a new, exciting element they're adding to the franchise and they're definitely going to want to showcase that in the trailer to hook in fans both new and old. Gemma is playing the top billed mermaid who is supposedly the Queen (i think i read that? correct me if wrong) so chances are if they do show a mermaid it's going to be her!

That's just my optimistic two cents.

^I think you're a bit too optimistic. I imagine she'll only have two or three lines in the film and won't appear in the trailer.

I imagine that a queen of mermaids who is set to help out Jack Sparrow in his adventure would have a bit more than 2-3 lines.

I'm still going to see the premier of the movie cause I was waiting for TRON for months now that and hoping to see a glimpse of Gem. The last photos we've had of her are over 1 year old

I don't care when we see her just because I know we will see her! There is a light at the end of the tunnel, we 100% know she'll be onscreen in PotC even if she doesn't make a single appearance beforehand! And I definitely agree that there's a good chance she'll be in the trailer, even if it's just a brief flash of her, the mermaids sound like a big part of the plot and there would be no reason to leave that out.

I just watched the ET segment. There's no way they mentioned Gemma but they did mention mermaids being a new and important role in the movie. They pretty much only featured Johnny Depp and Penelope Cruz but we hardly even saw any of Penelope either. And they just repeated themselves to eat up >5 min worth of 20-second clips.
