Gemma Ward

^^ her Prada campaign was the main one. She had a POP, Russh & VA cover stories.

What baffles me is that she never got a VI anything.

When you think about models with longevity, it's because they stay essentially the same. Their hair might be cut in different ways over the years, but their face and body are what they were at their peak.

Guinevere Van Seenus has always looked like she does now, Stella Tennant had always had that body, Daria has always been tanned and fit.

The Gemma of now does not resemble the Gemma of old.

A little harsh considering she has had a child. I think with Gemma, it was always her face that carried her through and that has not structurally changed/ aged a whole lot.

I think that image Al92 posted still resembles that lovely spark Gemma has! :)

She was a teenager back then, she's a grown woman now... some changes were bound to happen. Not all bodies are the same.
I do agree that the industry doesnt care for her anymore the same way it did but I don't think that's the reason...

Happy bday (late) Gemma
Can't wait for the entire V editorial, the preview looks good!

Also Kate Moss does not look in any way like she did when she was at her prime. But excessive partying does tend to do that.

Gemma's look was always really child-like, innocent. She's a grown woman now, and still more beautiful/interesting than 90% of current working models.

All the more reason models shouldn't work seriously until 18 or even 20.
No one looks the same forever at any age.
It should be celebrated not kicked out because of nature.
