This is starting to feel like a comeback, maybe Givenchy will give her a bigger push than Prada - since Givenchy is one of IT brands right now that people check for.

Prada could have brought her to forefront of everything, but what she did afterward (or didn't do I should say) wasn't significant enough to carry steam. She can't just do one campaign and a b-list magazine cover and expect a superstar comeback.

I don't think we can expect a full time comeback, even with the Givenchy campaign. She's a mother now, with other priorities.

We should be happy to see her, however rare the fashion moments come.

The whole "she's a mother" argument is getting old imo. She had a showcard and didnt walk any show, maybe just maybe she wants to work but just isnt getting any offers...? She isnt the only working mom in the world, I doubt that other models like Sasha, Coco or Poly are neglecting their children... I mean, balancing motherhood and work is totally doable.
I seriously doubt she would turn down work when it seems clear she wants to work (otherwise why the comeback).

You absolutely can balance motherhood and work but some people don't want to or would rather put more focus on one or the other. Everyone is different.

That said we'll probably never know if Gemma is not getting the work people think she should be getting or if she's being selective or if it's just a new market and she's having trouble gaining traction or if it's combination of all of it, guys. We should chill on arguing about it, it goes nowhere. Just my opinion though.

^^exactly. no use of saying she´s a mother with different priorities as the ultimate reason she´s not working much. unless someone knows her personally, we can only speculate.

Gemma just seems more focused on her family. I'm sure she returned to the industry with a comeback in mind, but I don't think she ever wanted to blow up- she seems like a very devoted mother who, quite frankly, doesn't care about modeling as much as she did when she was a teenager. She did a whole piece a little while back about wanting to be more assertive and how she has learned to say 'no' when it comes to working in the industry.

I think Naia is the #1 priority now and that's fine. I'm just so excited for the campaign

I think you're totally missing the whole point. Her preference these days is to spend time with her kid and to be a mother. Why aren't people understanding that?

Unless someone who actually knows Gemma confirms that is her priority we are ALL speculating. Including you and I.
Pardon me if you do know her, you haven't stated that (nor has anyone else) so we are all making equally likely proclamations. Do you know her personally?
