she needs her time to grieve, no matter how long that period is.
This tragedy happened to her (among other people), and it probably put things into perspective in her life... modelling could have taken a back seat for all we know.

Not since Spring 2008. Coincidentally, Heath Ledger died before the Fall 08 season started, so many people believe she no longer models because of his tragic death.
