i watched the Black Balloon the other night, and was pleasently surprised with her acting!! she was brilliant in it. the entire time the camera was on her she lit up the screen , and totally outshone the other actors. i don't know whether i am biased because i love her soo much, but she was glowing throughout the movie. she has real potantial to be a star!!!

No, I don't think you are being biased because my friends & I watched it together & they don't know who Gem is but they all fell in love with her
I dont blame them. She was amazing in the movie. I was prepared to like it anyway even if it sucked just because it's Gemma but I ended up sincerely loving it.

^Yes she was quite amazing! And she played the part of a teen very well, you couldn't even tell she was a little older than her character. Hopefully she has more acting roles in the future!

I hope she just does something... I would love her to come back to modelling, but at least if she could come back with a little role in a movie... even if she just attended the protagonist at a McDonalds in the movie I would be happy, just to see how she looks like now as soymilkfreak said. I miss her so much .

i saw the horror movie she was in "The Stranges" of something like that, i tought it was ok,... but at least Gemma was the scariest stranger. I just wish we could have seen her face or something.

my fave part from black baloon was when she was laying down next to the guy n shes telling him to close his eyes n its pouring rain n then there r some close up shots of her! WOOWW made me fall in love with her more n more!

^She was tall in the movie? I mean, I know she is tall of course, but in the movie she didn't seem that tall. Maybe the rest of the cast is pretty tall, that's why.

The Strangers sucked. I went to see it just because of Gemma & jumped out of my seat when I saw her for the first time lol.
I find it ironic how one of the most prettiest faces in the industry had to wear a doll mask almost throughout the whole movie. Gemma would be more dollish without a mask
Her voice suited her role well. Creepy doll mask & sexy, deep voice

Bending in Bali pays dividends

FOLLOWING a five-day yoga retreat with good mates and fellow catwalkers Gemma Ward and Jessica Gomez in Bali, top Aussie model Nicole Trunfio was back to business on Wednesday at Miami Swim Fashion Week in Florida sporting a serious tan.

Carving it up in a Camilla and Marc dress, the 23-year-old looked rested, rejuvenated and ravishing after the holiday with her girlfriends.
The trio last week attended the exclusive annual retreat, which is said to consist of ‘‘ eating, sleeping and yoga’’ and not much else.

A Bali spy said Ward looked happy and as though she was finally moving on from Heath Ledger’s death.
