the fangirl side of me is bursting with happiness hoping for an awesome result but the logical side of me is doubtful.
but it really does seem like she spent the last 10 month locked in her apartment and only now decided to come out?
so strange.

I do find it really strange I know for a fact she's been out and about with her brothers around NY and parts of the USA and off to the South of France to their family holiday house there. I've seen private photos of her so she has been out of her apartment . It's just interesting that suddenly only NOW press photos appear

Gemma Ward Is Done with Modeling

Gemma Ward's agent has announced that the Australian beauty has no plans to return to her modeling career. Largely absent from the fashion scene following the death of Heath Ledger, to whom she was romantically tied, Ward has come under fire for gaining weight. God forbid she indulge in more than a celery stick. Last week blogger Bryanboy posted photos of Ward walking around New York looking healthy rather than thin and sickly. He lamented her retirement, adding, "She's a very beautiful woman and I think she could make a name for herself in the plus-size niche." Which is kind of screwy given that she looks normal, and the fashion industry considers that "plus-size." Commenters had both supportive and horribly mean things to say. But no matter what she does, who cares if she's not a size nothing anymore? Why does she have to take heat for being normal? Besides, if she doesn't want to model, reality television is where it's at these days. As long as she doesn't go on HSN and try to sell a ladybug-inspired jewelry line. Too many models do that sort of thing.

..doesn't mean she's quit....

Yes that's right.
Gemma's agent also said: "Gemma hasn't committed to returning to modelling at any time soon" This does not mean Gemma has quit, I hate when the media twists words... probably just a bad news day

That's not exactly any better news than her quitting modeling...

I think it's better to just assume that modeling is done with. I mean, the agencies say not "any time soon" just as a safeguard precaution because that's the way it all works, there would be mayhem if they completely ruled out the shadow of doubt.

Gemma looks great in the recent candids, love how she wears glasses B). I hope there won't be much negativity with all these photos, I mean, she's not modeling anymore, things change so circumstances should as well. It's logical to not look at her the way we used to. We should focus on the positive and hope we get more photos soon .

yeah, that's how i'm looking at it, modelling's done for gemma for now, indefinitely. she's been out for ages, circumstances change, people grow and change.
