I miss the days of Gemma Ward, Lily Cole, Sacha even...the days when models were thrust into the spotlight because they really really are something unique. I mean Gemma Ward must be the most beautiful model ever found, she is so different and it just goes to show that even after she quit modelling she can still cause a buzz, last month when she was having her 'comeback' cover (though she never really left) everyone was talking about it. The thing is, it doesn't matter how many models are of the moment because it only takes one stand out girl to make them all go back to zero work, i mean if Gemma Ward came back to full time modelling? er every new face will have to wait in line because the QUEEN is back. This might just be a *little* bit of an overstatement...

Gemma is/was a great model, truly unique, I would even say the supermodel of her generation. But she's by no means the one and only, nor will she be putting anyone out of work any time soon.

I rather like the diversity in the modelling world right now - Gemma's look was revolutionary - but I'm having fun waiting for another revolution

(Evolution, is after all what keeps the fashion world going right?)
