Supermodel Ward still in Vogue
Vogue Australia has confirmed it is in discussions with Gemma Ward to secure the Perth supermodel's first fashion magazine shoot since announcing her return to modelling this year after a five-year hiatus.

"We have been in discussions with Gemma for a long time and when she is ready to do a cover shoot we will be doing it, absolutely," Vogue editor Edwina McCann told AAA Weekend.

"It is completely up to her and it is her timing. I hope it is sooner rather than later."

maybe she & her reps are just being cautious about just jumping back into this cutthroat industry. being as she was THE hottest fashion model of her time, her comeback will probably be the most judged, compared & scrutinized of any model in history.. Everybody will be criticizing & people won't be as nice as we are... Plus, it's probably kinda overwhelming to jumped back into a industry that's changed soo much when pretty much most of the people (models, designers, etc) you came up with are gone..

Anyway, i'm just happy for this little bit of news & crossing my fingers that she shows up in Sept for fashion week.. it'll be the 10th anniversary of her modelling debut

I am glad that she is taking her own time to come back. If and when she does, it is important that she is completely ready.

Honestly, I really doubt she will ever return to fashion full force, if at all. Gemma started at a very young age, paid more than her full dues, and kind of gives off vibes that she would prefer a more laid-back, relaxing life out of the spot-light and with her family.

Unfortunately she speaks only one short sentence but she looks great at this moment. In my opinion Gemma suits more than Carey Mulligan as Daisy.

^Gemma's voice is very deep and in the book Daisy has this girlish, always excited sort of ringing voice. But we're together on wishing she got a much better role. She would've been perfect as Jordan Baker, I think.
