So what did you guys think of Belle Starr? I was hoping it would appear on youtube but it didn't :/
In the biographies of Gene it was mentionned that she had severe eyes problems during the shooting and as a result tends to squint in many scenes. She always refused to wear eye makeup after that unless necessary. I always thought she had a strange appeal in the Belle Starr pictures due to this peculiar stare but I actually thought it was her acting until I learnt it was due to this nervous condition causing eyes infections.

I missed it! I hope TCM will show it again soon or put it on dvd. I've always thought she looked exceptionally beautiful in stills from the film.
