General Dior Questions

I love Dior Saddle Bags.

Where does one get one, though? (Besides a Dior Boutique)? The only ones I've seen for sale on eluxary or some such site was the denim one or logo one ::shudder::

There really is nowhere else to get them but a dior boutique

...although consignment and/or "brand" shops (mainly in japan) have them in the other prints all the time...

i believe that the saddle bag carrie has in the picture is from dior's spring 2000 collection, and would (sadly) be very very hard if not impossible to locate...although you could try.

the s/s 2000 collection was actually the first time the saddle bags were ever introduced (to my knowledge? correct me if i'm wrong anyone!) and since they were basically the "prototype/ancestor" version, they looked completely different than what they do now. the C & D's on the straps and the metal stirrup "D" that are on more recent bags actually weren't there in the beginning. instead, they were actual stirrups, as you can see in the photos ... more literal saddle than anything and the entire collection had an equestrian theme.

such a saddle bag would be a tremendous collector's item nowadays! ...and the people who aren't aware of what i just explained would probably think that it was a fake if anyone carried them around .... but the person with the bag in question would know the TRUTH!

i got my saddle from that collection.. but i still dont know from what it is different from the newer ones

I've had a search around for it and i just can't find one anywhere, which is rather annoying, I will just keep searching and maybe one day i'll find one.

I thought when I saw it that it must be an earlyish saddle.

I have my eye on a white leather saddle at the moment (i think they look so good in white ) so i think i'll settle for that until i can find my dream dior bag.

I luv Dior bags and i have my eyes set on a certain one except i cant find anywhere to purchase it. I live in Toronto and when i went on Dior's Website it didnt say they had a store in Toronto, or even Canada for that fact! I wouldnt buy one off the net because i dont trust what any site says about authentic and because im too young. Ppl please help me!!

the only site I can recommend is www.eluxury.com . You will need to check if they deliver to Canada (i know a few months ago they didn't)
If they don't you may want to call Holt Renfrew, and I 'm almost positive that if they don't carry Dior they should be able to order one for you, or call a dior boutique (I like the one in Las Vegas @ the Bellagio, they have only been open for a few months) 702-731-1334, and good luck.

Unfortunately, Holt Renfrew has stopped carrying Dior for a few years and they don't offer the service of ordering it for you either

eluxury still doesn't deliver to canada...

I was just in Montreal and I saw a Dior sign in a downtown mall...it was late at night so I couldn't check it out... maybe it isn't open yet...

I say cheap flight to Las Vegas, a few drinks and a not so cheap shopping trip!!!

A cheaper alternative would be a 2-hour road trip to Buffalo and then do the shopping there

She ordered it from Fifi and Romeo, a dog store from Los Angeles.

I don't know the price but its a special order... if the person you're planning to give it to is a dog lover...Fifi and Romeo is THE place for the cutest stuff. I'm a loyal customer I love it...They have lots of cute clothes and accessories, dog carriers, designer dog things and special orders.

The Dior monogram dog carrier that Paris got for her dog is from the Christian Dior boutique in Beverly Hills. That's where I saw Paris getting it on tv. They showed her going to the Dior boutique on the first season of the Simple Life and picking one up. The price tag was I think $1500.
