General Dior Questions

Does anyone know of a seller on eBay that sells REAL Dior Leather BLACK Saddle bags? I cannot find one and I can't afford a brand new one.

I hate fakes and do not want a fake, however.

Thanks!

they still have it on www.eluxury.com for $985. To be absolutely sure its authentic, that's probably your best bet!
She said she can't afford a "brand-new" one (ie: eluxury or from a boutique)... and I don't blame her. $1000 is a lot to drop on a handbag for the average person, although it is a nice investment...

DallasDiva: To be absolutely sure that a Dior bag on ebay is authentic, make sure that the dustbag and cards are authentic. If the dustbag and cards are, then most likely the bag is. I attached a photo of an authentic bag/dustbag/cards for reference.

Also, an authentic bag like that isn't going to necessarily be cheap on ebay. My guess is that one should go for $500-600, or 700 (sometimes a bit less) since the bag you want is the grained calfskin with gold hardware which retails for so much!

If it seems too good to be true, it most likely is. (for instance, the Hardcore Dior handbags on ebay....such a bag retails for $1500. There is no way anyone would ever sell an authentic for $200 as I have seen. Sure, they may look extremely convincing, but they really are not the geniuine thing.)

Oh, and also: with those authenticity cards... the seller should always show the back (as I have shown in the photo). If they don't, I would not really trust its authenticity because when you buy one in a Dior boutique, they are marked by hand as shown.

Brian,

THANK YOU SO MUCH for the fantastic information! I can pay $400-700 for the bag. I don't even mind a used one with little wear.

I really appreciate the pics of the authentic tags & bag. With tips like that, hopefully, I can make a wise purchase.

I see them all the time with WHITE stitching. I called the Highland Park boutique and the sales lady said that they were not produced with white stitching. So, every time I look at a pic w/ that, I think FAKE. Also, some of the eBay sellers have a burnished looking hardware and the eLuxury site shows a shinny, high polished metal.

So, I'll keep searching!

;)

Well, don't anyone laugh please. I am sick at my stomach right now.

I thought I'd found an authentic DIOR handbag and purchased it for $300 on eBay. I know that it's not the best way to purchase a designer handbag, but I really wanted one and couldn't afford the $900+ price tag.

Anyway, I just got the bag, and I am 99.9999% sure it's fake. The pictures posted on eBay didn't show that the leather was dimpled like ostrich skin. The bag on eLuxury didn't appear to have this. The hardware does look authentic, but inside the CHRISTIAN DIOR Paris is embossed on a piece of leather, but not in gold as the pictures on eLuxury. Also, the authentication cards aren't exactly like the pics Brian posted for me.

I've emailed the seller, but I'll probably never hear back.

I know that $300 is a bargain compared to the actual retail value, but I do not want to have fake anything under any circumstances. I would feel like a complete and utter fraud even though no one might ever know.

I'm sure I'll get a lot of "I told you so", but I hope not because I'm upset enough.

Thanks for listening.

I feel so sorry for you! :( Maybe you could post a couple of pics so some of us could verify its authenticity or falseness?

Thanks for your support. I wish I could post some pics, but my digital camera is broken!

I reported the fraud to eBay. I'm sure that I'll just need to be patient, but I just wish I could get an answer from the seller or eBay now! LOL

Well, I suppose if I do get my money back that I'll just save up to purchase the real thing. I wish there was a MyPoupette for DIOR & Chanel like LV. That would help some, I suppose.

Hello...

awww thats not very nice.. well Dallas.. next time link the item number to us (or me) and I will be sure to help u out... how did u pay? Through paypal? You can go to their website and report it there too...to get ur money back. And hey could u PM me the name of the seller thank you

Hey.. are you sure that white stitch was never used on black saddle bags? B/c I was searching on ebay and this seller: touchofclass208 sells a lot of the cd bags and it seems that all of her bags are authentic (or Im being fooled)..well anyhow see if u can post the pics...maybe it is an authentic bag?

This doesn't have white stitching. I'll post the (is that PM?) the link to the auction. The bag looks real in the photos, but you can't see (or I couldn't) the ostrich looking skin. It says LEATHER not OSTRICH, so I think that's funny. Plus, the cards don't look like the ones Brian so graciously posted for me.

SELLER: wineritzhak
AUCTION ID: 3462569360

Dallas :hardhead:

You can totally see the ostrich print..see

plus the seller has ZERO feedback.. u know better then that..no?? ..well its okay..a lesson learned... I do think the white stitching does exist with the dior bags and if u want to get a deal on the bag...purchase from the seller above... seems like every single one of her buyers were happy...

Hey..it also says money back guarantee...just tell the seller.. hey Im not interested in fake bags...Ill send u ur bag bag..sell it online again..but please refund my money.. I hope they cooperate

I can't see it...must be my computer. If I had seen it, I wouldn't have purchased it, obviously.

I'm not sure about the white stitching. When I called DIOR the sales associate told me that it wasn't make like that and the one on eLuxury doesn't have it.

I give up...

The seller just wrote me back and swears it's real. She is going to send me the original receipt - which I wonder why she didn't do that to begin with? She said she bought it 2 years ago. Who has receipts from that long ago???

I know they manufacture fake receipts too, but at least this will help a little.

Thanks to all who took the time to respond.

As to the authenticity cards - I have a Dior (the "evening version" of the Lady Dior in black with the silver stud things) that my father picked up for me in London, bought at the Dior boutique on Sloane (sp) street (I think that is the name of the street), and it has the authenticiy cards but...... they are not stamped or marked at all by the shop!

I was shocked when I saw them, but I wasn't about to hop on a plane to London just to get them to mark it - I figured if it came from them it better be real. So I don't know what was going on at the store that day, or if my father was in a rush when he picked it up, but...I have blank authenticity cards.
