Georgia May Jagger

I like Georgia, truly I do, but it's becoming apparent to me how much they retouch her editorial work. In candids/event photos she is not quite the bombshell that she is in her print work.

but her dad was handsome when he was young:heart:
does anyone know what jonathan rhys meyers was doing there?

^Staring at ya.

I've seen that particular dead stare from my (second or third) fave rock star, Ville Valo. Maybe it's a new health regime or something...:ninja:

"After picking up her award, she told us that Grazia is her favourite fashion magazine, Donatella gave her a heap of clothes after shooting the Versace campaign and the dress she chose for the event is a Vivienne Westwood number that she stole from sister Lizzy's wardrobe! Watch our video below of 2009's Model of the Year..."

The shots from #255 are beautiful.
It resembles that old-style,classic vintage visage she allures.
I'm supremely smitten.
She's certainly aquired her own personal look.^_^

her mom is very tall but i would guess around 5'5-5'6

i thought as much :innocent:
i do like georgia a lot, and i think she is beautiful
but it is quite aparent that without her family connections she certainly would not have won such an award, or be in the postition that she is in modelling wise
i don't want to sound negative, as i do like her, but it isn't very fair on all the models who would've earned it through their own hard work
but i guess that's just life!

3rd pic is great...she seems 'candid' in that photo whereas in the pics where she is posing she looks so awkard...

I agree. I think she is very pretty. But she isn't really a proper working model. Although I actually like Georgia better, I think Rosie probably should have won. She has high profile contracts too, plus she does lots of eds and appears on the catwalk as well.

The award was meant to go to a model who is a "leading name in the modelling industry", and that does not really describe Georgia IMO. She only really emerged towards the end of this year and I still wouldn't call her a leading name.

Thanks for the link, I had never heard her speak! She don't really seems feel any emotion about modeling. Maybe it's shyness, I don't know...

Georgia May Jagger collected the award for Model of the Year. "Thank you so much to the BFC for picking me. I'd just like to say Daisy [Lowe] and Rosie [Huntington-Whiteley] are amazing girls and amazing models. Thanks to my mum for being the biggest inspiration."

i agree with you, rosie would have been a much more deserving winner :flower:
not only has georgia not worked as hard, she isn't as versatile either
as someone else mentioned, there was no emotion in her voice when talking about modelling
she has said previously that it's not what she wants to do as a career, so it isn't fair that she was given the award when she just views modelling as a hobby

but i suppose it is all about connections in that industry, just look at the geldof girls... :innocent: :p

I don't agree. Working hard has nothing to do with it. The least effort for the most effect is better. And Rosie, versatile she is not.

Georgia has a Rimmel contract and a Versace campaign. Pretty good, I'd say.

Maybe next year would have been better to give the award.
She seems to be doing pretty well but I don't think we have seen enough work yet to warrant such an honour.
