Georgia May Jagger

I don't agree. Working hard has nothing to do with it. The least effort for the most effect is better. And Rosie, versatile she is not.

Georgia has a Rimmel contract and a Versace campaign. Pretty good, I'd say.

yes but the rimmel and versace work she's done aren't out yet, and any editorial work she's done has only been in the last couple of months, so i meant that that's not really enough to warrent being named model of the year
as i said previously, i like georgia a lot, and i think she's very beautiful
i agree with what the above poster wrote, next year would've been a better time to have awarded her, so she'd have had more time to prove herself :flower:

GEORGIA MAY JAGGER
With access to her mother, Jerry Hall’s, sizeable wardrobe and a penchant for Vivienne Westwood dresses - the BFA’s Model of the Year, Georgia Jagger, had a stylish head start in the best dressed stakes.

She's short but her body is really beautiful, and so perfect for the Hudson ads

I love her fashion awards dress:heart: She looks amazing in all the pics from that event too

Georgia's mom in one of her best Versace campaign exactly 30 years before Georgia's stint for the same brand. Jerry Hall by Avedon, Spring 1980 campaign. Scanned by me.

I love her, I think that her lips sets her apart from a lot of other models because it is so striking (in a good way). Also, she takes after her mother and father in all of the right ways-- regal and kickass.

She's just got to be Briggitte Bardot's child. Honestly.

I agree. I think she is very pretty. But she isn't really a proper working model. Although I actually like Georgia better, I think Rosie probably should have won. She has high profile contracts too, plus she does lots of eds and appears on the catwalk as well.

The award was meant to go to a model who is a "leading name in the modelling industry", and that does not really describe Georgia IMO. She only really emerged towards the end of this year and I still wouldn't call her a leading name.

No offense, but what are you talking about? She's not a " proper working model" because she's not a 6"0 HF model? There are lots of different types of models. Georgia will be able to sell things and appeal to people in a way that, for example, Edita never could. Georgia couldn't rock a HF catwalk like Edita. Neither of them could pose for a mens mag and get much of a look at next to Lucy Pinter ( although IMO Georgia would have a better chance!). There are lots of different types of models. Commercial, HF, glamour, lifestyle, hand, etc. None of more valid than the next, IMO.

I wonder if this is going to be the new "look"... if her Versace ads go well, this pillow liped, curvy figured Brigitte Bardot trend that Lara started could really take off.

how tall is she?

Jerry? She was listed between 5'10 and 5'11 in her day, which means she's probably 6' ;)

I hope this could be the "new look",it's a good one and women will look more romantic and pretty, like true women.I am just tired of seeing women looking all edgy, sharp angles and so much harsh fashion and the dull black clothing. It's been years!

Her face is spectacular, it's like Lara Stone meets Kate Moss. But her body? It needs ALOT of work, and it's not model-like. Is she still only 5'7"? I don't see how she could be so short if her mom is 6'0".

Style Awards: 2009

Awards season may still be around the corner, but we've had our eyes on the prize all year. You see, though a grade-A ensemble may seem like less of a production than a film, we know that a blockbuster outfit is truly an achievement. So for this year's best-dressed round-up we wanted to give credit where credit is due and single out the most stellar sartorial performances of 2009. All twelve of these well-dressed winners have played roles in making this year memorable, so we wanted to pay tribute to their particular clothing contributions in our inaugural edition of Who What Wear's Style Awards. So without further delay, the envelopes please…

Future Icon
Though Jagger was just awarded with the British Counsel of Fashion's award for most promising newcomer, we at Who What Wear have steadily been tracking this rock star daughter-turned-model for quite some time. Though she presently looks quite stunning in her glamour-puss ensembles (like the va-va-voom Vivienne Westwood frock that she wore to the UK premiere of Where the Wild Things Are) and has traffic stopping good looks (she shows off her impeccable genes in the Hudson jeans campaign), we really think that the sky is the limit for this icon-in-the-making!
