Giambattista Valli Haute Couture S/S 2019 Paris

First part is very Saint Laurent by Vaccarello...then it turns 80s Yves Saint Laurent; to finish with his signature "puff cakes" tulle nightma...I mean dresses.

Strong Balmain by Decarnin FW09 vibes.
There’s no refinement here, he just threw everything he could in one dress.
European Ralph&Russo.

For someone who worked at Ungaro, it’s sad.

I really missed his early collections. It seems like everything is on repeat. His atelier must have unlimited supply of tulles because god forbid he loves making cake dresses out of them.

seen a million times before and outdated at best, and hideous tacky mess at worst. Nope

Hedi's Celine was so polarising it even made an impact on Valli. Snoozefest. And I'm actually disappointed because while Valli isn't my favourite brand, he can actually deliver solid collections. This isn't one.

Jesus... The only thing that this guy know how to do it is boring and unflattering collections?? I give up.

At least in his past collections his marshmallow looks were somewhat ethereal, they all look cheap and heavy here.
