Seeing the collection as a whole, it look better than I expected, even the simpler gowns have something to add... I only say "so-so" to the middle ones, especially the leopard...Imo, it was not well-chosen... Apart from that, I LIKE!
i love the futuristic bent that giamb took on this season -- it reminds me of last spring's michael kors, but in a way that stays true to everything we love about valli. seriously, a house like this one will never embrace minimalism and it shouldn't even try, but this is a great way to stay relevant in a season about sleek lines and great colors. with that said, i will never buy flats for the giambattista girl.
i´m not feeling most of the shapes... think they are very unflattering. imagine, the models, slim and all of them usually 1,80 tall, look not very good in it, so what about normal women?
anyway the final five pieces are old good Giambatista. and yellow is very fresh touch to his sophisticated style
^ but that's the Valli women to me, it's all about egg silhouette and architecture in each Valli dress. it's a fine collection for Valli himself, but compared to others this season, this collection is outstanding. though I don't see much cohetion in between themes, the elements still flaw from one to another beautifully. the column prints and the typical Valli fur dresses are so gorgeous. the more I see, the more I like.
