Maartje Verhoef, Heather Kemesky & Andre bona

I'm glad they brought back M&M. The last campaigns have been so irrelevant for Armani.

Anyway, this is boring and I hate the cast.

I love Maartje, but this is so bad. It's not even worth commenting... I still don't get why fashion brands don't even bother anymore. Everything is so lackluster...

^^^ Cos they’re coasting by on their brand name. They don’t care about inspiring storytelling in their campaigns, just like they no longer seem to care about thoughtful, fresh designs anymore.

These shots look like generic model comp cards— at best. So random. Andre look like some kid playing dress up with his dad’s clothes, thinking he looks “The Untouchables” OG.

Totally. But you can do something simple yet beautiful. Raquel by M&M comes to my mind: they were B&W studio shots and quite amazing. This is just soulless... Completely empty. And M&M are a shadow of what they used to be. This looks like something Luigi+Iango could do for Vogue Deutsch...

This looks so much like La Perla campaigns by M&M , and in bad ways

btw , models.com posted the images with logo

Maartje & Heather looks stunning here. So far, this campaign lacks any luster, but it is still much better than last season.

You’re too generous LOL

This is so lazy it’s blatant arrogance. This is the type of subpar creativity I see from the student with basic skills putting a fashion photography portfolio.

Why not offer the job to a new photographer who has the passion, the energy and fresh ideas to reinvigorate a dusty brand? It’s insulting to those of us that love love love high fashion, and for those new to high fashion— this will be the brand of poor standard they’ll know from these labels so they won’t expect anything more.

In all fairness, I don't ever look to contemporary Armani for storytelling. They're very clear cut, neutered, and to the point. The focus is on the clothes, nothing more, nothing less. The last time I saw something interesting, worthy of a screensaver, was maybe Jessica Stam and Du Juan by this very M&M? I also recall another striking set of Milou Van Groesen on a beach, Joséphine Letour a few seasons ago, those were hits imo. These campaigns made me pause everytime I saw it in magazines (yeah, I know. I basic).

This time around is a complete miss for me. Worse than Brigitte Kos. Armani women are strong, confident, sophisticated. Think Cate Blanchett and Zhang Ziyi. I look at Maartjie and I see some bored teen slouching in a terribly ill-fitting tent. M&M clearly skipped on the magic this time around.

To me, watching paint dry equals watching Maartje walk down the runway or pose in magazines/ads. She's pretty but has no depth.
Julia Bergshoeff would have been a great choice. She's also pretty, if not prettier, but has a womanly allure that could turn a basic image into a beautiful Armani campaign.

This doesn't reach past basic images. If you go into the studio for one of the most boring brands, than at least choose a model that can carry a campaign like this. Not Maartje.

maartje's face can sell anything :D it's not very exciting though (typical armani)

According to site of Vogue Italia Mathilde Brandi is also in the campaign.

Maartje is as boring as the brand, at least Heather brings some spirit.
