The label is likely still doing solidly since it’s a household name and coveted by the masses. However, Gio’s eye for design, color and proportion-- and prints, is long long long behind him now. And his once gorgeous brand of effortless, easygoing chic in plush fabrication and even lusher tones has been consistently replaced by a frumpy mother-of-the-bride sensibility and the ugliest color-palette from any brand (the very fact that one of his HC collections featured these hats that look just like a dog took a dump on the models' head really shows how alarmingly clueless he's become). Creatively, this is a label that is screaming for a new designer. Nothing works for Armani anymore.
