Giorgio Armani Menswear F/W 2023.24 Milan

Armani’s aesthetic has settled into this fuddy-duddy, midrange department-store staple that was easily affordable in the mid-90s— like Kenneth Cole/Massimo Dutti/Perry Ellis etc.

I like most of the first 30+ (grey) looks, which is more than I can say for any of the other shows in Milan this season. But it's more comfortable than inspiring, something familiar executed well rather than an exciting new proposition.

It certainly isn't Armani at its best ... yet how is it that so many of the other runway brands have long since devolved into tacky self-parody, but year after year (dare I say decade after decade), Mr. Armani -- now 88 years old -- just keeps on delivering understated, wearable clothes?

Sophisticated as always, reminds me of those 80s mafia movies which isnt necessarily a bad thing. Some of the red looks are not for me but am sure theyll look great on the slopes.

Thats what I was getting mid late 80s businessmen , esp the grey pieces, which was a popular color amongst men that time.
