yeah.. just generally i think that is an aweful cover! i was SO excited to read that Gisele was going to be on US Vogue, but ...wow. what a disappointment. the entire colour scheme is positively dreary, it's grey and boring. her dress looks awkward and out of place in the midst of everything else. he pose isn't the greatest (*certainly doesn't do justice to her "Best Body"*) AND to top it off, it's a poor pic of her face. really dreadful, actually.

they 100% should've used the pics from the inside, or one of the outtakes from that shoot, with the blue background and the white dress. it just looks a thousand times more fresh.

wow. lawd knows i love me some Gisele ... but those "facts" are 100% inaccurate.

there is NO way that Gisele is worth $320 MILLION. that's reaching the level of someone like Madonna. not even musics biggest divas, Mariah/Celine/Whitney have fortunes like that. Julia Roberts? about $170 million. So, it's utter nonsense that Gisele does. and considering that it's only been 2 or 3 years now in which she's topped $30 Million/year (*according to Forbes -- a much more reliable source than Marie Claire Brazil*), i really can't see how she could've made the other $230 Million in the first 6 years of her career. Impossible. (though i absolutely do think that she's the wealthiest of any supermodel, past or present).

Also, as far as magazine covers -- she certainly may hold some record for amounts of covers, but it is absolutely nowhere NEAR 7,000! unless that was a typo and it was meant to be 700 (*which is STILL really really stretching it --- an average of 70 covers per year for the past 10 years??*)


however... one can dream! her career ain't anywhere near being over yet.

I think it is possible she has that much money. Didn't they estimate she made 33 million in 2007, without VS? With good investments and applications for the past eight years she could have a close sum, maybe a little more like 250 million.

Gisele has been quite big (and expensive) since 2000 and along with Ipanema, which sells very well in Brazil, I'm sure she has clauses in her big contracts such as Ebel or Nivea for part of the sales. Things sell more because of her. She knows that. Must be a weird power, to be the a super capitalist heroine.
