I like seeing beautiful WOMEN, not girls who should be in high school.

I agree -all these young girls look gangly and unsure -what kind of ideal is that. I want to aspire to great WOMEN and even though the women I want to be are boobless and hipless, femininity is apart from that -it is in age and knowledge and a look that girls just dont have. In Europe people love women -the ideal is 30 year olds plus like Monica Belucci and the 40 year old Isabelle Adjani. I really dont understand the American obsession with teens. It really isn't an attractive time so why pretend it is. Gisele rocks (other than the boobs ) because she had this look. When she broke the scene she must have been 19ish which is perfect because she looked fresh and untouched but like she had LIVED.

I must admit I'm not a fan. I think she is way to overt with her sexuality, so there is nothing really erotic or mysterious there. I think she has unique and stunning features, but she looked so much prettier pre-ultra blond, tan Victoria's Secret Make over. And she is always making funny faces. Her personality seems kind of grating; in all of her interviews I get the sense of her being falsely nice and down to earth. Like she's trying too hard. But I don't know her personnaly so I can't make any fair judgements. She's beautiful and photogenic(though she looks better from some angles than others) and these are probably the two most important qualities in a model. But she doesn't use them to her advantage. It's hard to put my feelings about her into words, but I guess you could say that it seems she's trying too hard, all around.

maybe its just me, but her nose looks totally different in this early pic than in her more recent spreads. Did she have rhinoplasty? she still looks gorgeous, but i'm just curious

it's so obvious that gissy had the bulbous tip of her nose reduced. and i also think she had the bridge cut down too, her nose got thinner & sharper at the bridge.

cosmetic surgery is more common in brazil than in any other country.
it's a worldwide destination for cosmetic surgery. breast augmentation is commonplace among brazilian models [ana hickman, adri lima & more]
gisele may deny breast work & even nose work but both are obvious.

looking at those 2 pics it looks as though she had the bags under her eyes cut out also. her eyes are more exposed in after pic.

I also wonder about chin/cheek/jaw work but i need to look harder at before & afters. theres a plastic surgery website or 2 that includes gisele among its 'good' examples.

on the oprah show with the makeovers her nose looked the same as the 1st pic. i agree with ale its airbrushing and also the pose. and what the hell nose job or no nose job let her do what she wants its her nose so long as it makes her a better model>>>

its SO obvious the bridge was cut down & the tip was thinned! its as clear as day in these comparisons! I think she got chin & eye work too, just look! and a skin peel/dermabrasion? her skin looks different!!
its not a moral failing to have surgery 50% of all models have something done.
no one loves gissy any less cos of it. unless you prefer her to tell the truth about her boobs but she wont do that

My sister looks completely different now to when she was 18, you wouldn't think she was the same person. She is 27 now and her nose looks thinner and more pronounced, she has higher cheekbones....she hasn't had plastic surgery...

I don't see much of a difference, just an older woman.

the thinned nose bridgework is so obvious.

looking at those pics I also see tightening under the eyes, chin slightly sculpted and also her cheeks look like they have been tightened slightly so that her smile wrinkles disappeared - look at the change around her mouth/laugh lines. could be some injection in there too to ease laugh lines.

i also think her skin had dermabrasion.
note that that is a plastic surgery site- its not a 'non' surgery site.
a plastic surgeon could be even more specific but even our untrained eyes see differences.
a family member had several surgeries in the 90s & it heightened my awareness to what is commonly done & how it looks after.
and also encouraged me NOT to have work done!

I'm just so sceptical about these kind of things. I can take two pictures of myself and look like two totally different people...my facial features look totally different....i'm not saying she hasn't, well not ruling it out, but its not as simple as just saying "surgery!" every time somebody looks a bit better or different...

I think it would have been stupid for her to have a nose job, she is such a beauty and her nose gives her face a personal touch. I really wish she hasn't done it

I dislike both. I cannot understand how women take horrible health-risks (breast-implants) only to conform to beauty-standarts installed by men

Her nose looks MUCH better after the operation but still I think ALL nose-jobs take away "character" from a face.

A close friend of mine had her nose corrected (because her Ex-boyfriend broke it a few times ). Her face looked more "smooth" after it, still, she was almost more beautieful with the "imperfect nose".

It`s the little imperfections that make people special and beautieful!

PS: I`m reliefed that Plastic Surgery is still not common in Europe!

But Lady Grey has a "thing" on Gisele since 1997 so it is no surprise she thinks Gisele is a robot. That is the kind of thread she loves to reply.
