Part of me is glad she's not doing the VSFS, but selfishly I love seeing her on the runway. At least this means that her trip to New York probably meant she was working on or shooting something else new!

agree w/ you! It had to be for work bc that's the only time she goes to NY anymore these days, so can't wait to see what it was for. She has 2 unknown shoots coming up that we know of.

Yes, VSFS was just a rumor! I think Gisele could be shooting Balenciaga campaign in NYC. Usually in october and november the S/S 2011 shoots are made. It is confirmed she will be the face of Balenciaga... so I guess it makes sense.... and her presence in brazilian carnival for the first time on the 'runway' representing Vila Isabel is also confirmed! They are reporting now that Tom Brady might be with her!

Gisele Bündchen is set to return to her roots, when she heads to her native Brazil to make her debut as the star in one of Rio de Janeiro's Carnival parades next year.

The supermodel, will join samba group Unidos de Vila Isabel at the parade in March, after accepting their invitation. Directors of the group, who made the announcement, say that Bündchen's costume and float have yet to be decided.

Competition is fierce between the different samba floats, with groups commonly spending as much as $5 million each in the hopes of clinching the top prize.

Last year, Unidos de Vila placed fourth in the competition. But with Bündchen on their side, expectations are already high for where they'll place next year.
