Gisele Bündchen is set to return to her roots, when she heads to her native Brazil to make her debut as the star in one of
Rio de Janeiro's Carnival parades next year.
The supermodel, will join samba group Unidos de Vila Isabel at the parade in March, after accepting their invitation. Directors of the group, who made the
announcement, say that Bündchen's costume and float have yet to be decided.
Competition is fierce between the different samba floats, with groups commonly spending as much as $5 million each in the hopes of clinching the top prize.
Last year,
Unidos de Vila placed fourth in the competition. But with Bündchen on their side, expectations are already high for where they'll place next year.
