i dont think what its normal to repeat themself, as if someone forgot that they have done it already.

well, a photographer's signature is always there, no matter how hard they try to make something new. It is quite normal any way. That's what makes those photographers have their own style, so it has to be noticable. I have been admiring models for ages, but since I got into photography, I have started to pay attention to the photographers and most of them do the same thing all the time...which does not make them boring or makes them reapeating themselves, after all we all do what we can and what we are best at, so good photographers better stick to their own style, cause that's why we love their work!

yeah, but there`s an edge between repeating themselves and having a style of their own... and now, for example, i just see repeat in almost every work of photographers, esp Mert and Marcus, they`re copycats: they`re copying themself, old famous photographers as Guy Bourdin, Helmut Newton, Man Ray etc...

We all have personal opinions about this and I thunk we can not generalize an objective conclusion). helmut Newton is one of the photographers I like the least(if at all) and he is one of those who repeats hismself all the time. it is not possible to do so many different things,a fter all it is fashion photography and it is all about one thing at the end...you see models and clothes! I have been observing the work of many fashion photographers and all of them have a distinguished style. Mert Alas and M.Piggot are some of my favorites and I love what they do. It is impossible to be years in thisbusiness, to shoot countless of editorials and to be inventive all the time! And I do not think we really need this.
Peter Lindbergh also became boring, cause he keeps doing the same thing all over again, but we still love him.
Steven Meisel's studio work is also quite similar all the time, Bruce Weber is one of my top favorites and you can always say that he shot this photo when you see it! And I love this feeling. David Sims also has his own style and his photos are similar, Nick Knight as well, and Ellen Von Unwerth is also one of those you can always tell apart and guess it is her without looking at the name.
We can talk a lot about it, but I think we better enjoy the work of those incredibly talented people I am also taking photos and I am afraid I am repeating myself, but I can not help it.
