No way!!! Why?

Naomi still walks as well as a few others, every now and then!
She is too young to retire from the catwalk, I was hoping she'd follow up in the Supermodels'steps...

It doesn't say why, just said that she has always had a plan to do her last show in Brazil. I always got the impression runway is her least fave thing to do based on her interviews. She prefers photoshoots and a slower pace.

tragic. even after all these years, I still smile seeing her on any runway. I guess she epitomizes that late 90's-00's wave of bombshell models that were ruling the runways when I started getting interested in fashion, and with this news, it's almost like an end to that era, which I don't think we will ever see again for a long time. It's like the supers of the 80's/90's, then you have the Brazilians. I don't particularly care for the Dutch invasion and the crop of new disposable (on top one season, disappears the next season) models isn't to my liking either.

Thanks Michele,

yeah, I wasn't asking you directly why :)...I was just exclaiming...

Yeah I know runway is her least fave, although it's my fave after editorials...love her legs, presence...everything on the runway.

I'm mostly sad she didn't make one last appearance @ Versace. :pink:

Gisele Bündchen Retiring From Runway: Supermodel Will Walk in Final Show During São Paulo Fashion Week

Gisele Bündchen is officially turning in her catwalk heels.
After 20 (!) years as a runway model, the 34-year-old star will kiss the catwalk goodbye at São Paulo Fashion Week in April, where she will strut her stuff in the Colcci show—a Brazilian fashion company for which she has appeared in multiple campaigns and has a longstanding relationship with the brand.
News of Gisele's runway retirement was first reported by Moda Estadão.
The 34-year-old star, who has certainly cemented her place as an iconic supermodel, said it was her dream to finish walking the runway in Brazil, her native country.

Bündchen's final show will be April 20 in São Paulo, where she will model fashions from Colcci's summer 2016 collection.
It's important to note that the Brazilian beauty is not giving up her modeling career—she still plans to participate in campaigns and fashion spreads, although she will no longer grace the runway.
Tom Brady's missus, who was world's highest-paid models from 2013-2014—a title which she's held for a whopping eight years in a row—has decreased her runway presence in recent years, although she appeared in Chanel's spring 2015 fashion show back in September.
In November, Bündchen also walked in the Colcci show as part of São Paulo Fashion Week Winter 2015, and clearly, the brand is a favorite of the beauty's, as she posed for one of the company's campaigns back in 2010, just six-and-a-half weeks after she gave birth to her first child, son Benjamin.

Retiring from runway? I can hardly believe it, she's in the shape of her life. Maybe this means people will have to pay her even more now, if they want her to walk for them, because it really will happen so rarely?

She doesn't sound like the person to pull that kind of move. I believe her, if she says no more runway, it means no more runway. She's kinda in the financial position to say no to requests.

Us Weekly: Gisele Bundchen Retiring From Runway, Will Walk Final Show During Sao Paulo Fashion Week:

End of an era! Gisele Bundchen is retiring from the runway, Brazilian newspaper Moda Estadao reported on Friday, March 13. The supermodel, 34, has been strutting her stuff for over 20 years and will walk her final show during Sao Paulo Fashion Week, which kicks off April 13th.
The Brazilian beauty, who is mom to kids Benjamin and Vivian and stepmom to Jack with husband Tom Brady, reportedly will end her catwalk career on April 20th at the Colcci show, a Brazilian brand she’s fronted campaigns for and walked for numerous times, including their most recent show this past November.
The former Victoria’s Secret model, who retired her Angel wings in 2007 and has been crowned the world’s highest-paid model for the past eight years, isn’t calling it quits entirely though. Bundchen will still model for her numerous contracts including Under Armour and Chanel.
n a recent interview with the Sunday Express the model said she couldn’t imagine not working. “Modeling has been good to me and I plan to enjoy it and take any opportunity that comes along,” she said in August 2014.
