Givenchy Haute Couture F/W 2009.10 Paris

I love the white (fur?) jacket with the golden details.
So Cruella de Vil

anxiously refreshing this page. the pics on J&J sparked my interest 28 F5's ago.

^I totally agree! That's what I thought too! And oh how I love my Cruella de Vil! Her inspiration was allover the Fall 2009 catwalks and it has definitely filtered onto the couture runways!

i need the whole collection seriously. even though i might seriously faint. lol

^ I know! i can't wait much longer. oooo i wish i had a catwalking account.

I think F5 means the keyboard shortcut to refresh your browser. (Meaning Raych keeps refreshing the page.:(flower:

oh ok ... well first thanks for the translation and then thanks for the tip !
i had no idea i could refresh my page with F5 !
^_^

^ I know what it feels like..i've been doing it for hours ^_^ I might just break the button later in the Chanel thread ^_^

my second thought is: this is going to get insane orders from Dubai

^ There's a big crisis going on..Riccardo is a smart guy, he's thought about sellings, too..or maybe it was just the inspiration of the whole collection ^_^

I think he's looking to the middle east and central Asia like a lot of designers have been, the subtext of environmental adaptation, sensual draping, and fresh ethnic references are hitting the mark and setting the direction. It just so happens when you take this trend and apply it to a couture collection, with Tisci's sensibility no less, you have a huge jackpot with the clients in the middle east who are some of couture's newest and biggest clients. I don't at all think he did it just to appease them. If that were the case he would be doing something for the Chinese, couture's soon-to-be largest and most promising market.

I hope some outfits will be a BIG hit in the whole Middle-East (Dubaï, Doha, Barhein etc.) ...
Cannot wait to see these women walking the malls like this ...

But I don't know ... actually ...
Was it meant to be sold overhere ?

Someone knows if Cheikha Moza was in Paris for Couture Week ?
She was in France not so long ago ...
