this is so cute
To be honest, this collection is fantastic. Amazing cuts and silhouettes. Also I love the over-sized jackets.
And the setting couldn't be more brilliant.
Nothing spectacular, and definitely not one of Tisci's strongest Pre-Fall collections, but a solid and cohesive effort nonetheless.
I see a lot of past seasons in this, Fall 2007 and Fall 2008, as well as some Haute Couture diffusion (the marabou feathers).
I'm very interested to see where he takes his Fall 2010 collection, as this gives us no clue. Perhaps something more masculine/tailored and influenced by the mens suit? Or perhaps something more influenced by over-exaggerated forms?
It nice; tailored yet relaxed. Sort of obsessed with the feather skirt because, as helmut.newton noted, they call to mind his couture collections (like the pastel feathered looks from SS08). The first dress in post #2 could have been designed by Roland Mouret.
Love the coats and the color palette, the cut is very nice too. For a pre-fall collection this is presentable
I'm pretty sure I've seen these elements in previous Givenchy collections but this is just pure delish. I'd wear everything if I could. Every piece looks desirable, imo.
i love this!
I love the first dress and the jackets...nothing groundbreaking though.WANT THE DRESS!
i love this-- very clean and sophisticated. And the cuts and silhouettes are indeed amazing. But I'm indifferent with the feather skirt. It's tacky imo. But other than that, I think this is
the cuts are so sharp but the fabric looks so soft, a nice contrast.
I absolutely love this collection. The color palette to the materials. The feathers and those coats are amazing!
What a visual orgasm I love love LOVE the simple, solid navy dress in the first show. That alongside the furs, clutches, the blazers. I want it all!
I have to say...this is EXCELLENT. Beyond excellent.
I'm so impressed and I'm so thrilled by this. I'm so glad to see Tisci cut back on the frills, spikes, studs, straps, bling and all that junk and gimmicks. It was loud and it was getting very old.
This reminds me of his early work for the house, in particular his RTW Spring/Summer 2006. Like that collection, this one feels very genuine. It's also fun to see him take on a bit more of the Audrey Hepburn of Givenchy...that first dress!
I am so impressed with this. My love of Tisci is renewed and rejuvinated!!!
Very impressive, indeed.
I love it
The suits are impeccable.
This is nice, and actually wearable! The silhouette is unique while the fabric and the color palette actually look comfy enough.
Tisci says he was influenced by French chic of late 60s and early 70s . It really reminded me of Bowie's Thin White Duke era from the mid 70s, again Tisci took it to the next level.
