Some designers are doing a variation of the Gladiator heel this season, from Alexander Wang, Altuzarra, Versace & Balenciaga for Resort 2013

Let it be said that I've been one of the biggest "gladihaters" on tFS. I have eventually been a bit more forgiving of gladiator-type shoes. I am pretty sure this look will certainly resurface in the near future to trendy levels. More than likely, this style will be adored and awed while I'll be looking for something to break every time I lay eyes on these shoes. I do like the cobalt blue sandals in Post #2 of the pictures posted so far.

This trend will be so hard to pull off. I hate high-heeled gladiators but without the extra few inches added in height those would all look ridiculously unflattering so I feel like you either have to go with high-heeled ones, or skip the trend

I liked some of these at Ferragamo but much prefer the flat sandals over the high-heeled and the overknee ones. Those are beautiful and very wearable, I actually want them

And I also like the first pair at Tom Ford :ninja:

Those sandals in both Posts #7 and #8 are brutal! But like I said, I'm sure the fashion world will force feed these resurfaced gladiator sandals to my eyes to where I'll be the only hater while most everybody else will see these as the best things since sliced bread. There were few I could tolerate the last time these were trendy. Why should I be excited for these sandals now? Some of these shoes are in desperate need of being burned.

Can't help it, I'm just so glad this trend is coming back. May be one of the few, but I really like gladiators in general. The first pair in post no. 7 by Roberto Cavalli is really nice.
But have to agree with Nepenthes about the Paco Rabanne's.

Damn. These are bad. One or two are tolerable, but most are just atrocious. And they look especially uncomfortable too.

If those Paco Rabanne gladiators sandals looks too tight on the model I'm wondering what they'd look on random people...

I don't care who wears those gladiator sandals from Paco Rabanne or on what legs they are worn with- those are absolutely terrible. I'm sorry if I'm supposed to care about gladiator sandals (especially these) but fail to. Only decent ones in this post are the simplistic cobalt blue ones in Post #2.

I like these shoes but agree they are going to be difficult to pull off. The Aquilano & Rimondi shoe in post #7 looks OK.

This trend also made it through phillip lim's SS 2013 collection.

I think this version is the most wearable of them all.
What do all think?

What the heck are those supposed to be in Post #16? What- boots that are also oxfords/brogues? Terrible! Pour Holy Water on those horrid shoes!
