Glasses F/W 07.08

I don't wear glasses, but most of these geeky ones are adorable!

Anyone know what brand Kirsten Dunst's and Ashley Olsen's glasses are?? They are just perfect!! :crush:

Paul Smith makes a pair that look just like the ones kirsten is wering - they are Buddy Holly style. A little larger than the usual geek frames. kind of heavy, too

Ok, so I went to Oliver Peoples in SoHo today in hot pursuit of these legendary Tycoon frames (AKA the MK Olsen frames)...I was worried they were either discontinued or sold out, but it turns out they had them available!!

I tried on black, tortoise shell and the clear frames (like the Chris Benz frames in Post #1). Black was too strong for my face, so it was up to the tortoise and the clear. Seriously, I spent like an hour there switching back and forth between them because they both looked good. The tortoise is more retro/vintage while the clear ones are more futuristic looking. They were two totally different looks that could definitely work out for me, and I loved both of them! I ended up purchasing the tortoise to get opinions from my folks, but am still indecisive. I'd love to buy both, but I don't think I could justify buying 2 frames.

Here's me modeling the tortoise frames:

They are definitely a new and different look for me...at first I thought "whoa, too much!" But the more I wear it, the more I like it!

^ I tried on (but did not purchase) the tortoise frames a few weeks ago and found that they were too weighty for my face. I quite like them on you though!

Thanks!! :flower:

They are actually quite heavy, I hope this won't end up being an issue. The complaint I had with my last frames though were that they were too light and kept slipping off of my nose. Hopefully his one will stay on better :innocent:

It's strange, I find that this style actually opens up the eye and makes them look bigger...it's an interesting effect!

When you want to hide away then the easiest way is to wear your hair down, big straw hat and oversized aviator style sunglasses
