Gok's Fashion Fix

The series was watchable and Gok is a sweetheart. I don't think Alexa's presenting style was a fit for the show though I understand why they chose her (known for her personal dress sense, c4 contract, fits in at fashion events..)

I most enjoyed watching him customise clothes, and some of Alexa's interviews were good e.g. Missoni. I cringed when I saw some of the celebrities (Danni Minogue??? and that Scottish woman off breakfast tv.. did a D list celebrity cancel so they went for Z list?) The 'put this random piece of clothing on in 10seconds' feature just didn't work. At all.

The formula got tired towards the end, and I didn't agree with the street style winner (I would have chosen the boy with the Afro hair.) That's my two cents.

I liked this show especially when alexa went to see the designers! but gok winning every week was such a fix .

Yeah, but I guess Gok is trying to conduct some sort of moral here...that you can look stylish and not have to pay £1,000's.

Very true, but can you honestly say that Goks £12, hideous, orange party dress from New Look was better looking/more chic/stylish than the Herve Leger bandage dress?...its insane!! And the Temperley dress with the ruffles. Gorgeous! It is quite a fix. And I thought the collection he pulled together for the last week was terrible!! So ugly! Just another week when the designer side should have won!! But, having said that. He is great at making some really average, high street stuff look good!! I loved what he did with the Zara dress on the beach wear challenge! Did anyone else love how awestruck Alexa was when she met Lagerfeld? It was adorable!! and the Street Style...glad to see I'm not the only one who thought that the afro kid should have one!!

Yeah, I thought the girl who won High Street Fashion Icon was a little forced. "Oh look at me, I'm so 60's."

Yawn. I personally thought the girl with short blonde hair or the one with the afro should've won.

I HATED almost everything Gok made.The clothes are just so tacky and all the lace and flowers and pins was just toooo much. I simply don't understand the need in purchasing something just to destroy it, and most of the outfits he bought could have looked okay if only he had stopped with all the self tailoring, But none of them could compete with the designers.
The first time he won i was like okay i can sort of understand Then after the second ,third,fourth and so on it got too much. How could the designers side not have won at least one. I LOVED that Herve Leger Bandage dress, the colour was so vibrant.
However i do love Gok.

The outfits looked much better on tv. I got sick of seeing him ad a belt to every outfit or turn a perfectly fine skirt in to a puff ball shape. I liked Brixs' fashion choices.. she seemed a bit insane in a Ruby Wax sort of way.

I honestly can't believe he won every week, there was maybe one week where I thought a couple of his outfits were slightly better (but not so good that I can even remember them), I think they did it like that because the point of the show was to prove that you could still be stylish on a high street budget (which everyone already knows anyway, no?) so letting the other side win would defeat the object I guess.

But they just made it so obvious because most of the time he shouldn't have won. Don't even get me started on the flowers and sewing things everywhere and adding necklaces to shoes, there's being practical and customizing....and then there's ruining perfectly good clothes.

I watched it but I wasn't that impressed. It's a different format and it looked like they did the show on a budget.

I preferred the first seasons format.

I agree that Season 1 was better.
Does anyone know where I can download them? I would like to watch Episode 3 with Chanel.

Lets just hope that Gok doesn't win every week with his poor outfit choices! I'm all
for accessorising but seriously he "belts" every outfit or over styles them iykwim?!
Love some of Brix's outfits though. Her shop looks wicked!!

Does anyone know, where you can watch season 2, if You dont live in the UK? (Channel 4 online only works for UK)
